@anthonygeorgespatrice ’s music is nothing constant and stable as it aims to explore rather then succeed. The well acclaimed Parallel Romance even though being the one piece that may be remembered by most, represents only a fraction of the field attempted to be covered throughout the experience. Taking roots closer to the soul centered movements of Electronic Music, having as first influences artists like Sun Orchestra, Masters At Work and Glenn Underground, the musical taste and interest slowly shifted to a more essentialist direction while keeping a profound fascination for Detroit legends such as Rick Wade, Omar S, or even Carl Craig. The battle between explicit melodies and repetitive tools had now begun, the dance of the soul and the mind had now made its first step. From there started an exploration which is intended to never find an end, to never find a final destination, but which is lead by the strong hands of the Deep Spirit which represents the common factor, or the Ariadnes Thread to the journey. A sort of safety road map to follow in case the experiment turned bad. His ‘Interpersonal Challenge EP’ has been released on @endless-worldwide last month.

AGP explore les profondeurs de la musique électronique sous toutes ses formes. Depuis le blues, le jazz à la house music, en passant par la dub techno et la minimale. Initialement sensible à la soul avec des influences telles que Sun Orchestra, Masters At Work ou Glenn Underground, AGP a ensuite découvert les travaux de Studio 1 ou Moritz Von Oswald, ainsi que certaines pièces sombres de Omar S. Le contraste installé laisse permet une négociation entre l’émotion explicite des instrumentations de Nuyorican Soul et les abimes de tools répétitifs, ou l’âme de la House et l’énergie de la Techno se mêlent. AGP enchaine les signatures depuis 2014 sur des labels tels que Lossless, Moodmusic, Get Physical, Loot, Dance Artifakts, Azzur ou encore récemment Goldmin et CB90. Depuis 2020, il se concentre sur son projet plus minimaliste, “Redrop”, et sur Lessenorg.net.

Chaque semaine, il officie sur Line out Radio le jeudi de 18h à 20h pour proposer sa vision de la musique électronique, ses choix, ses invités et ses influences.

From now on, we have the pleasure to have our latest podcast to be hosted by a brand new head to follow : Anthony Georges Patrice.
Born and raised in south of France, he gained experience playing music in local bars, as much as in the Dj booth of legendary MINIMAL CLUB, having for master guys such as Nicolas Masseyeff, sharing his spare time between digging records at Limelight record store and learning how to bring up beats on his own. 
Moving up to Paris 10 years later, his Parallel Romance ep gets finally born and finds a comfortable home at Lossless cc, spreading around as guys like Maeve crew and Mr Raoul K decide to even play it at peak time on their own boiler room sessions.
Right after a nice gig at Rex Club for well known H A Ï K U party, he delivers an eclectic DJ set, in between house, Afro, deep and early house vibes, destroying boundaries and connecting the dots as he always loves to do.
One word from the Man : music has the right to breathe without too many genres to make them suffocate.

5 installments in now and I'm delighted to have one of my very favourite producers over the past few years doing a guest mix. He forced people to take notice of him with his very first release for Lossless, in what is still one of my personal favourite tracks from the label. The Frenchman has pushed his own boundries never comfortable with just having one sound but always exploring and reinventing himself. This mix is not what passing fans of AGP will expect "I am really trying hard to get off the 'melodic / afrohouse' tag and I know though people only know these things from me, they're far from representative of what I do". The Ceol Podcast 05 - Anthony Georges Patrice

I know I know, we're late. Who cares? As long as music reaches your ears like it does, and these words speak to your eyes right?
So here, I sat down (in reality, I recorded standing up to be fair), and selected some of my most inspiring Ambient, Electronica, Drone, whatever aims to take the mind on a journey that is not 4/4, sort of to showcase again the idea of this (inhale) podcast by myself, without aiming to define too precisely a land for music to evolve into, but rather the start of an ever expanding algorithm, if I may.
Not reinventing how Mankind has been making fire here, but just redirecting sort of a purpose when listening to music : we're after expansion, discovery, telling a story in a different way, mixing unusual genres (didn't go extreme on that here) while maintaining some sort of story.
The shtory here, leads us to sit for a bit in Japan, home for some of the greatest synthesizers we had in history of Electronic instruments, but is reminded of musical roots of this fantastic country (I have never visited!!!!!!!)
I think that's pretty much enough shoot talk for the moment. Let's listen to some music now.
