We are back with our very occasional mix series - highlighting local dj's we love and who are the staple and beacons of the scene . we are very happy to present a mix by one of our favourite berlin based dj's . 
here he gives us a his take on dub , soul , house  . below are more words about jay .  

JP Anders has mostly played in Berlin bar for the past eight years.  
A vinyl enthusiast since his early teens, ,  presenting of  various colours like a  painter's palette with which transportive and emotive illustrations can be made.

He was quoted in 2012 in the Taz newspaper as having said „Nothing works without music“, and to this day, that remains his driving philosophy. For him, it is less about a particular style of music and more about exploring how relatively good and musical music can affect one's senses. Before venturing into DJing professionally now well over 20 years ago, he expresses this enthralling feeling from having attended his first rave events. This is the feeling he strives to convey when behind turntables. „Being lost in music must be a gift from god, because in these moments, it seems all pain melts away.“

Anders has played in many venues in and around in Berlin from the now defunct Tacheles to Südblock, Möbel Olfe and his resident bar gig since 2009 Ficken 3000, to Schilling Bar, Cassiopeia, the defunct CCCP club Torstr., the Lab at Berghain and most recently Wax Treatment. In the coming weeks you can catch him at the quaint cafe Filter House in the Graefe Kiez playing an eclectic mix of „bar music“ and also in the newly renovated Paloma Bar at Kottbusser Tor, both located in Berlin, Germany.

we first had the pleasure of meeting Anna K back in April of this year  in Athens . 
we were right away  taken in by this force of life . 
we only got to hear Anna K play during the wonderful Odyssia Festival in July . her sunset set mesmerized .
below is a bit more on Anna K .

Anna K -  (Anna Komninou) - started her career in the Entertainment Industry back in 1988 at Earth Media Studios in Sydney Australia as a studio production assistant to Alan Lancaster (bass player of Status Quo). After several years abroad, Anna decided to move to her homeland Greece and get involved with music, event management and djing. She has worked, either as a dj or an event manager, with some of the biggest names in Greece and in the world e.g. Joe Claussell, Louie Vega, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Trent, Francois K, Josh Milan, Jihad Muhammad,  Jovonn, Osunlade, dj Spinna, Dennis Ferrer, Timmy Regisford, Glenn Underground, just to name a few. For the past few years she is the booking manager and resident dj at the House On The Beach parties at the renowned Cariocas beach bar in Greece, and has played in Switzerland, the UK – London (Ministry Of Sound), Manchester (Hidden), the Netherlands, Italy – Rome and Catania,  and Portugal. Anna K is also the Liaison Manager and resident dj of Odyssia Festival.  She is not just a dj, but also known for being in contact with the public, feeling the dance floor and playing accordingly, always with a preference to Soulful and Deep House music.
