After touching down in Australia for a run of shows along the east coast this month, Stockholm's most relentless crate crawler Doc Jay blesses us with a blend of his infamously breezy bangers ready to transport you directly to a dance party on a beach somewhere in the summer of '92. 

Not only is he behind the notorious Doc Jay's Audio Inn, a mix series which has quickly become one of the freshest on the cloud and was the lockdown hero across living rooms round the globe, he's also a crazily talented painter and visual artist, and has collaborated on a graffiti art mag with a friend since high school that has gone on to become the biggest of its kind in the world. 
We caught up with the cheeky Swede behind the Doc Jay moniker to ask about his art, his label Sunken Rock and the inspiration behind the Audio Inn series..

"The main inspiration for this mix came after a string of sunset to sunrise euphoric and heartfelt dancefloor moments at this years’ Love International festival in Croatia. I was lucky enough to go with my partner and some dear friends, one of whom (Pete) started a WhatsApp group to link all the queer people in attendance at the festival together overe the course of the week. Pete introduced and united some pretty special people, and the new friends we made quickly became to feel like old friends, feeling a love and sense of belonging like we’d already known each other for a lifetime.

This mix has a number of tracks that have similar energies to the feelings we experienced during the festival - calm yet uplifting to dance near the ocean in the heat of the day, vocals that expel you back into reality, and a general overarching feeling of love and celebration for all the people we are yet to and have already created life changing relationships with, and nostalgic for the memories we are still creating."

A familiar and prominent figure in Naarm dance and queer scene, @dawsdj has recently relocated to the UK and is proceeding to rip it up all over the EU just like we expected her to - prolifically.

Robbie is an energetic DJ, versatile producer and passionate night-life advocate. The Orainn label head is an avid lobbyist for Give Us The Night, campaigning for a better night life in the South of Ireland. The Dublin-native has seen releases on imprints like Night Tide and Dansu Discs.

We've had the pleasure of hosting Robbie on the AVA stage on a few occasions over the years. He brought his emotive and punchy energy to our Boiler Room, a stellar set in 2021 and a highly memorable stream for our AVA Online Weekender.
