Nicolas Bougaïeff presents the ‘Dust’ remixes, due 19 July on Max Cooper’s MESH imprint. Across this three track package, Guy Andrews, Max Cooper and Deapmash provide diverse interpretations of Nicolas’ most recent EP.

‘Dust’ borrowed its name from a short story by Greg Egan, in which a future scenario grants humans the ability to duplicate

their consciousness as software, thus experiencing immortality. Inspired by this narrative, Nicolas decided to focus on the experiences of the main character, who observes himself becoming increasingly disordered in his surroundings.

Guy Andrew’s take on the title track opens with a glistening sonic palette that morphs through ambient settings, serene at times, frenzied at others. Max Cooper takes a different stance on the same track, spiralling the fuzzy synths of the original through a rolling kick, held together by the harmonies with which his work is now synonymous. Closing off the EP, Deapmash reinterprets ‘Bremsstrahlung’ with obscure broken rhythms and droning ambience.

PETER REINHARDT – is a DJ and Producer – originating from a typical small southern German town called Ravensburg. 
 
His youth was shaped by techno-soaked nights at urban warehouse parties and the uncompromising love for electronic music, which since then reveals itself in his characteristic and unique releases. Most of his early productions such as ‘Rüttelmaschine’ or ‘A Robot and his Violin’, were only to be found in his hour-long sets at clubs like the Douala Ravensburg, before he finally made them publicly available.

In 2013, he released his debut EP ‘Up the Sky’ on Crossworld Records London - a beautiful deep-house collaboration with mesmerizing vocals from ‘His Girl’, which is his girlfriend in real life aswell.

His latest release called ‘Falling Tears’ is a production between him and vocalist ‘FAB’ (Fabian Schulz) which perfectly resembles Peter's style - bringing together deep melodic techno, powerful vocals and groovy synthesizer glitches, to create a unique and addictive sound experience for techno-evangelists.
