Goodbye Loneliness

In twilight's hush, a silent heart's refrain,
Whispers of solitude softly wane.
Farewell, old friend, whose shadow danced with mine,
Through empty halls where echoes intertwine.

Will we ever meet again, in time's vast sea?
Or drift apart, like leaves from an autumn tree?
Our silent pact, once sealed in quiet gloom,
Now breaks with dawn, as flowers start to bloom.

The hearth of kinship lights a warmer glow,
As I step forth, from the only world I know.
Goodbye loneliness, my constant, ancient guest,
In newfound joy, my soul shall find its rest.

For in the throng of life's grand masquerade,
I've found a chorus, and my fears allayed.
