Gabriel Fauré's "In Paradisum", has always had a place in my heart. The song brings you immediate calm an harmony. In his memory I have arranged a version for electronic music.

Musicians often have to walk the path less travelled to get to where they want to be. Trials and tribulations are sure to pop up, and those who can push through the twists and turns will find themselves exactly where they’re meant to be. Songwriter/composer Peter Sauleda has taken this often crooked path and has found his true musical purpose in the journey. 

Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, the journey has taken Sauleda through Sao Paulo, Caracas, Madrid, Sant Pol de Mar, Costa del Sol, Gothenburg, Vienna and most recently Stavanger. Each step along the way imprinting pieces of themselves into him and his music. Sauleda gathered profound knowledge and inspiration through his travels and his connection to each city can be felt throughout his unique, ambient, synthetic sound.

Focusing on downtempo electronic soundscapes that soothe the soul, Sauleda aims to provide listeners with an even deeper experience. There is heavy influence from IDM, Cinematic, and Ambient genres. Each song taking you to another place, allowing for some peace and ease amongst the chaos of our world. 

To capture this unique sound Sauleda reached upon an assortment of musical influences. From classical composers such as Bach and Beethoven to the progressive rock of Genesis, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The electronic examples of Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, and William Orbit had their effect as well. In today’s music scene, Sauleda is often compared to such unique artists as Boards of Canada, Thievery Corporation, and Four Tet. This diversity is what sets his music apart.

From his first piano lessons at the age of 7, the desire to transfer emotion through sound became a passion for Sauleda. An album released with Blanco y Negro Records in 2005, and a career producing music for promotional videos provided vast experience. His ability to create distinctive sound design, while never using sound banks or sampled loops, sets Sauleda on a higher level. He is able to conjure fantastic and exotic images within the mind of the listener through his immersive electronic soundscapes.

Now he is focused on publishing his own unique music under the Sauleda name. Finding inspiration in extraordinary events of the past and creating soundscapes that display the feelings of the individuals that lived through them. The sounds, the emotions, the history. All this in an effort to plant his footprint firmly in the Electronic Music scene with a sense of joy for his continued journey into sound.

Sauleda welcomes all people regardless of age, race, or orientation to come along and enjoy this epic journey alongside him.
