Swedish guitarist and composer Peter Tegnér crafts soundscapes boldly exploring the spectrum of human emotion. His contemplative compositions have been described as “fairy tales for adults”, gently inviting listeners into place of introspection. The guitar became Peter’s trusted companion at just eleven years old. Inspired by love, loss, nature’s majesty, India, Pink Floyd, Genesis and Steve Reich’s minimalism; Peter has drawn from a rich and diverse musical palette. While he earlier took a more conventional life path as a naval radio officer, a resolute message redirected him toward the service of music. In 2006, Peter created the concert series, "Goodnight Sun: Music for the Sunset”. Every year the series features Peter's compositions and performances by seasoned and emerging artists from around the world set against the enrapturing backdrop of the Scandinavian summer sun. The poignant 2022 short film "Simplicity" intimately revealed Peter's gentle life philosophy and creative process. With seven solo studio albums in his formidable list of accomplishments, his work has garnered widespread acclaim, including the prestigious SKAP Swedish Composers Prize in 2016 and awards from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. Peter’s studio album: "Who Am I" , released 18th june 2024, explores a more experimental and symphonic orchestral sound, revealing new facets of his artistic evolution, encouraging listeners to meet in a place of shared humanity.
