Full Sail is an EP-length album that showcases the style and versatility of composer @peterjagdeo. Its retrofuturistic style speaks deeply to the gamer soul of the composer and hopefully to you, as well. 

The concept for the album is as highlights from the soundtrack to a hypothetical sci-fi game. This album is also presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Music in Music Technology at Southern Utah University.

A city of ancient stones, borne aloft in the clouds...a score for chamber orchestra that would be right at home in a high-fantasy game.

The new colony grows beyond its original goals. As its governor, you have done well to prosper civilization's latest foothold among the stars. You observe the city below and look towards the future with optimism.

The New World

On your way to meet with your contact in the capital city you move quickly through the underworld amidst the gambling dens and hovels, passing the outstretched hands of the downtrodden with a heavy heart. All humans that leave Earth dream of riches amongst the stars; however, the plight of the exploited and needy inevitably arises wherever civilization springs up.

In the coldness of space, human warmth yet persists. You escape from your duties long enough to meet with your beloved. After all, the colony must go on...

Rendezvous

Your craft navigates the tenuous void between the planets, pushed gently along by the supersonic, yet diffuse, solar wind. 

Clarinet and flute solos performed by Todd Hearn.

The Dutch form, "Zonnewind," was chosen as an homage to the heritage of the composer's mother, the strong ties to ocean borne commerce throughout her family's history, and her own fascination with all things astronomical.

Conflict is the driving force of this piece, conceptualized by the conflicting time signatures competing against one another throughout this piece.

The hub of the Jupiter planetary system, Port Galileo bustles with spacecraft from all corners of the Sol system as it gently orbits above the Jovian clouds. As commander of this outpost, it is your duty to maintain, construct, and expand its capabilities to operate in an ever-changing galaxy.

A love-letter to a great game, Red Dead Online (and its single-player parent game, RDR2). This is the load screen music and I've always found it to be simply beautiful. It's also the music in the epilogue of the single-player game.
