'Shifting Sands of Reason' has a stark, apocalyptic soundscape with swirling winds, wind chimes and gently strummed acoustic guitar. The string arrangement created with Rob Clydesdale captures the shades of light and darkness in the song: the hope amongst the struggle.

To have the wonderful experience of living close to one or more small children, following them, playing, fooling around, talking and discussing with them, sharing their joys and sorrows, and having the privilege of being a part of their upbringing, is one of the wonders, you get to experience as a parent. But also as a grandparent, if you take advantage of that opportunity.

So, as an old man, being able to sit down, with a grandchild in my arms, feeling its heartbeat with my hand, fills my heart with such infinite gratitude that they exist. It is with unconditional love that I share the moments I get with them, and feel immense pride in all my children and grandchildren. I love them all, and my wonderful wife unconditionally and without limits. ;)

And I am convinced that true Love can overcome most things. So let's spread love, in our amazing universe. ;)

I'm a singer/songwriter guitarist, heavily influenced by bands such as The Beatles.  My songs are rich in melody and my lyrics have an underlying message.  Don't be surprised to hear influences from pop, country, folk, funk, latin, classical and musical theatre.

I have studied the art and craft of songwriting and am a Writer Associate with Mercury Musical Developments.  In 2019 I entered the prestigious UK Songwriting Contest for the first time and scored 5/5 Commended for 'Not the Only One' (considered for the semi-finals).
