An abridged version of the 30 minute piece commissioned by Jinny Blom for Prince Harry's inaugural 'Sentebale Garden' at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Here is the first 'petal' of Sentebale Song. I wrote this as the opening theme for the much larger piece which would accompany the beautiful garden design by Jinny Blom at the Chelsea Flower show. Sentebale ( meaning Forget-me-not) is Prince Harry's charity which is in aid of the people of Lesotho in southern Africa. As I began writing for the project, it occurred to me that the Forget-me-not ( having five petals), the two Princes and Lesotho itself twinned with Wales, suggested the Fibonacci number sequence which the whole piece is predicated upon. With Two Princes ( the first piece) I was lucky enough to have the brilliant poet from Lesotho, Kojo Baffoe, recite 'Birth Chant' over my two, three and five note phrases.
