Tower Struck Down - Coming Home

Recorded and produced at Assembly Line Studio Preston  in 93/94 by myself Peter Knight, I was the only straight sober person in the studio, they were having a party and I was trying to do my job as a sound tech/ producer. The middle section features several local people including my father Godfrey and I think Keith Morgan but can't be fully sure but I think he was on the recording, This song became their Anthem and a cassette copy even reached the band the Levellers, or so I was told, This demo and their other albums, incredible Live shows put them as one of the hardest working bands out there and they toured Europe and opened uo Fairports Cropreddy Festival in 94, Although not acknowledged I am proud to be part of the bands history, The masters have been lost for now so I remastered from a good cassette copy so it sounds great for a 27 year old recording, RIP Cal, Godfrey and Moggie.

I recorded this track in 10 years in 2011 with Brian Young AKA The Firkin Fiddler, Brian is a lovely guy but the is used to playing on his own so his timing can wander which is natural so it was a challenge to pull it in and then Lynda Lamb played some drums which I used as loops and then added percussion via a keyboard,

Here is the original demo of Fiddler Green, i originally just called it Petes Tune, its very basic and just put down quickly, Lynda had bought me an acoustic FX pedal with USB sound built in so I just hooked it up to a basic version of cubase and just used my acoustic and lends acoustic bass, you can tell its the same song but totally different xxx

THE WARNING .This was recorded direct to cassette in about 1997, Gary (dad) had just come back from studying at Ruskin college in Oxford and we had a Live jam , him on the mic and me on the guitar with Drum machine, i then bounced this to another cassette and played keyboard overdubs and strange reverse tape sounds were dubbed in which were audio artefacts, all in all it was a srange mixture, of metal, psychedelic Dylan Thomas type poetry about The concept of THE WARNING was one of three tracks that where about AI and Robots taking over the World and ending humanities reign .
