"Ether" for solo piano is one of a five piece elemental piano collection composed by Taylor Joshua Rankin.

These piano pieces were written and premiered in 2013 during Taylor's senior year at Cal State East Bay, in Hayward CA, under the direction of Dr. Frank La Rocca.

The five collection pieces were inspired by photographs/paintings by established L.A. photographer Craig Barnes.

Enculé, tafiole, goudou, pute…une partie de nos injures sont fondée sur le genre, le sexe ou la sexualité.

Insulter, ce n’est pas que blesser l’autre. C’est aussi, par le choix du juron, l’assigner à une identité, lui couper la parole, le discriminer.

Qu’est ce que nos insultes disent de nous ? En tant qu’individu, en tant que société ? Pourquoi les enfants se traitent de « tapette » dans la cour de récré ? Pourquoi les mots n’ont pas tout à fait le même sens selon qui les prononce ?

Pour répondre à ces questions, Camille Regache reçoit Sébastien Chauvin, sociologue et responsable du Centre en études genre de l’Université de Lausanne.

La escuela es el principal espacio de formación y socialización de niños, niñas y niñes de todas las edades. Le corresponde a la escuela entender la diversidad de su alumnado y tener mecanismo concretos de respeto para quienes desde pequeñes se construyen a contracorriente. Por desgracia, en demasiadas ocasiones, para les menores transexuales no existe un lugar de reconocimiento y respeto en la escuela. Conocemos multitud de casos de acoso, pero lo cierto es que la discriminación y el señalamiento en la escuela es un elemento habitual.

En esta sesión nos plantearemos la cuestión de cómo educar al sistema educativo, cómo transformarlo para que sea respetuoso y, sobre todo, cómo construir sistemas de denuncia, de solidaridad y de apoyo mutuo para transformar la situación.
