Rob Crowley runs Callanan’s Bar, a small pub on George’s Quay overlooking the south channel of the River Lee. It has been a family-run establishment since the 1930s with a loyal clientele. Callanan’s is more than just a pub, it’s a Cork institution. Now in its third generation of ownership, it continues to maintain its welcoming atmosphere while supporting storytelling, theatre, and music. Over the years, it has hosted intimate plays, events as part of the Sounds From a Safe Harbour Festival.

We speak about the history of the pub and his family, his love for George's Quay, hosting different types of events in a small bar, the surrounding community, and much much more. Rob's love for his city and the people that frequent Callanan's really shines through.

Peter Lee is a Recording and Live Sound Engineer based in Newbridge, Co.Kildare.

Peter's recording philosophy is based on capturing the artist's emotion as well as their performance, ensuring a sound unique to each.

Yew Wood Recording is Peter's studio in Newbridge, Co.Kildare. 

The space was designed as a mixing and overdub studio and is a a relaxed, intimate setting for both recording and mixing.

Yew Wood Recording allows Peter to keep prices low without compromising quality and is the perfect environment for recording singer/songwriters, acoustic ensembles, voice over work and as an overdub space for bigger projects.

Peter also has access to an array of other studios at competitive prices, thus ensuring that all needs are catered for.
