Very special set...very special event...I celebrated the life, celebrated the love....celebrated my 44th birthday in my 'ASHRAM'

As a pilgrim 2 weeks ago I took a long journey to arrive to play a set at that place what is more like a temple for me...to play here is really different....music drives the people to have a good mood during the dinner time...and music leads the people into the dance after the sunset....

These sets are a kind of meditations for me....from the deeper vibes into the light...

When we recorded this set, I had a great crowd....I could play tracks from 1981 till 2022 and the biggest thing was when a really old couple just came to the dance floor and they were dancing with us for Donna Summer - I feel love (Hot TuneiK Remix)

It was a really special birthday for me....never forget! Thx for all!

Peter Makto - IKREK Cruisin Boat Party LIVE DJ Set (my 45th bday daytime event)

I'm thrilled to represent Hungary at Nick Warren's renowned brand, 'The Soundgarden', known globally for quality progressive house music. Playing as a main artist in Budapest rather than local support is both an honor and a challenge. I aim to deliver a set that makes Hungary proud and meets the high standards expected by Nick Warren. This time, I showcased a 90% progressive house set including some tracks and remixes of mine, hoping you enjoy my unique 'soundgarden' journey.

Well, life decided to throw me into the deep end again! Imagine following Nick Warren's epic set? - and before him there were 2 other great sets from Khen & Sebastien Leger.

Another year has passed, and another huge birthday party awaited us. At the daytime event, I warmed up the audience with a cheerful and emotional set during the usual two hours of the IKREK Boat party, before my traditional all-night-long performance following the boat ride. 

According to my horoscope, the daytime event is a big celebration for those born under the Gemini sign, with performances by artists from my Truesounds Music and Zenebona labels. 

Once again, the party was spectacular, thanks and gratitude to the Cruisin team for the organization and execution! 

A wonderful audience came out again. It was a joy and a pleasure to play music!

With a prominent lineup, we celebrated the Budapest stop of Balance, the progressive house brand. The lineup was diverse, and the music remained high-quality throughout the night, from opening to, I can proudly say, closing. It was a very exciting professional challenge to close the party after the three guest artists, and it was an honorable and proud moment to represent the Balance logo as a Hungarian DJ in Budapest. We recorded the early morning hours, starting at 4:40 AM – listen with love. Thanks to everyone who joined me on this journey – especially big respect to those who stayed until the very last tune!

Nincs kettő egyforma szettem! A hasonlóság érzete merülhet fel ha ugyanazon track-ek újra előkerülnek de persze más környezetben. Minden fellépésem improvizáció. Az adott pillanat megéléséből fakadó kreatív megvalósulása a zenén keresztül.

Ez a 8 óra remek lehetőség volt egy komplettebb sztori kifejezésére. Mivel az időm hosszabb volt a kibontakozásra így az alapok és az építkezés higgadtabb volt. 
Ezután hosszabban tudtam adagolni az újdonságokat úgymond "osztottam az észt" ami után jöhetett a féktelen bulizás. 

Az idő hosszúsága miatt, kicsivel több zenét húztam meg a régi időkből is. Majd a finálét is két részre osztottam. 

Megjelent a klasszikus 'vége van - zárás' hangulat is de a legnagyobb csibésségek az utolsó 40 percben kerültek elő - igazi "röfögés" lett a vége egy egy deep house lejátszásával és a végső zárás se a megszokott. 

Jó utat, megtisztelő és hálásan köszönöm a figyelmed és az idődet ha tényleg elhatározod magad, hogy letolod ezt a 8 órát velem!

No two of my sets are ever the same - only a sense of similarity may arise if the same tracks resurface, but always in a different context! Every performance of mine is pure improvisation - a creative manifestation of the present moment, expressed through music.  

This 8 hours journey was a great opportunity to tell a more complete story. With more time to unfold, the foundation and build-up were calmer and more measured. This allowed me to introduce new elements more gradually - let’s say, "dropping knowledge" - before diving into pure, unrestrained partying. Given the length of the set, I also played a few more tracks from the old days.  

For the finale, I split it into two parts. First came the classic "it’s over - closing time" mood, but the real mischief unfolded in the last 40 minutes - ending in a proper "oink-fest" with a deep house track, and even the final closing moment was unconventional.  

Enjoy the ride, and I truly appreciate your time and attention if you decide to take on this full 8-hour journey with me!

🇬🇧 We welcomed the change of seasons with a wonderful cacao ceremony. Our hearts and souls were renewed. It was a magical ritual, and this time, I allowed myself to immerse more deeply in the musical creation. We recorded it as well, hoping to bring joy to those who couldn’t be with us at this event!

🇭🇺 Egy csodás kakaó ceremóniával indítottuk az évszak váltását a naptárban. Megújult a szívünk és lelkünk. Egy újabb mágikus szertartáson vettünk részt és ezúttal már én is bátrabban engedtem bele magamat a zenei alkotásba.

First and foremost, I want to extend a huge thank you to our audience for this wonderful season. I loved every moment of it! We’ve just wrapped up our second successful year within the walls of Lock Budapest. I'd also like to thank the club’s management and the entire staff for their dedicated, supportive work in making these events a success!

As for this seven hours journey, I wanted to stay true to the name of the series and opted for a more unified, focused set direction, so that the strong connections between the tracks could truly deliver a 'transcendent' experience. I gently raised the energy level throughout, aiming for a state of pure happiness by the end.

Every 'all night long' is a new challenge, a new situation, and a different crowd. 
I thoroughly enjoyed it - and ended up pleasantly exhausted!

But my birthday is a bit different. On that day, I'm simply grateful that I get to do what I love in this life, and I just enjoy the moment.

🇭🇺: Magyar DJ-nek a Balaton közepén játszani mindig felemelő és különleges. Nekünk nincs tengerpartunk de nem is kell. Viszont van egy mostanra már 30 éves tradíciónk a legelső kompos bulik óta, hogy egy hatalmas nagy és öreg, méltóságteljes járgányon bulizhatunk a tó vizén. 

A mai szabályok mentén sajnos 400 főben limitáltak már ezek az események de még így is abszolút különleges hangulata van egy ilyen megmozdulásnak. Számomra kivételesen is fontos ez a szett, ugyanis a Siófokon induló IKREK ÉJSZAKÁJA sorozat újabb állomása és egyben a 47-ik születésnapi partym is volt. 

Csupa jó emberrel, mindenkit ismertem. Egy nagy családként éltük meg ezeket az órákat. Hálás vagyok mindenkinek aki eljött és mindenért ahogy azon a napon ez a csoda megtörtént! 

🇬🇧: For a Hungarian DJ, playing in the middle of Lake Balaton is always an uplifting and special experience. We may not have a seaside - but we don't need one. What we do have is a 30-year-old tradition, going back to the very first ferry parties: the chance to dance on the water aboard a huge, old, and majestic vessel.

These events are now limited to 400 people due to current regulations, but even so, the atmosphere remains absolutely unique. This particular set held extra meaning for me, as it was the next chapter of the Twins' Night series launching from Siófok - and also happened to be my 47th birthday party.

I was surrounded by good-hearted people, everyone was familiar. For those hours, we lived as one big family. I'm deeply grateful to everyone who came and for everything that made this magical day happen!

If I had already found the right words, I would have written down what an incredible experience we had at the BALANCE CROATIA 2025 festival. For now, let me just say this: we were in the earthly paradise of progressive house.

It was a true honor for me – and one of the highlights of my DJ career – to play for such a wonderful international crowd. The captivating atmosphere of the Beach Stage and the energy of the people brought this set out of me.

Minden évben a legnagyobb izgalommal és várakozással tele időszak az Ikrek buli előtti 2 hét. Aztán jön a nagy nap, amikor gondolkozás nélkül az szólal meg ami éppen az első gondolatom a dj pultban a szelektálás közben. Nincs tudatos terv és nincs semmilyen irány. Nincs megfelelés csak a PLAY gomb és a hangerő. Az effektek és a potik. Minden évben meghatározó számomra ez a buli, mert azt csinálhatok amit szeretnék és TI ezt elnézitek nekem, sőt mi több támogattok ebben és táncoltok meg mosolyogtok, élvezitek. Nincs nagyobb ajándék egy DJ számára, mint amikor van egy olyan buli, amikor egy pillanatig sem kell gondolkoznunk, hogy vajon jó lesz e a következő zene ?!?! - mégis minden IKREK buli után bennem feszül egy érdekes érzés, hogy vajon JÓ VOLT? - nem maradt ki semmi ?? Az idei IKREK mixben valamiért kevesebb a techno, és kevesebb a nagyon régi sláger, tempóban is visszafogottabb, viszont több benne az aktuális. Persze a buli utolsó 2 órája az az igazán nagy zenékről szólt, így TSak azt tudom javasolni, hogy gyűjtsétek be az összes anyagot és EGYBEN éljétek át azt ami OTT volt ismét Siófokon! Hálás köszönet !! Hihetetlen boldogság nekem ez amit Tőletek kapokt! Kellemes zenehallgatást és köszi a támogatást mind a közel 1700 embertől akik eljöttek egyet bulizni!

In the early 90’s Peter falls in love with electronic music as escapism from his troubled and abusive childhood. Underground electronic music was new, exciting and Peter’s rebellious soul was soon captivated. His love for music has been constant ever since.

Headphones and listening excessively to loud music not only served its purpose of exclusion from the world, but this was the beginning of his musical journey. After listening to single tracks, he soon moved on to DJ sets, as the long journeys and the artistic freedom that characterized these were something he could strongly relate to.

This was when he started his vast and multi-genre vinyl collection and soon after moved on to playing and mixing these. He found extreme joy in music and started to build his own world which orbited around it. Mixing different genres was euphoric, he became a fanatic collector and a passionate disc jockey.

His sets are reflections of his current state of mind and he often improvises when in the booth to spice it up. He is always lost in the moment and instantly connects with the crowd. The music is a manifestation of Peter’s emotions.

He favors extended sets, relishing the chance to truly exhibit his talent and deliver captivating mixes across a spectrum of house music genres. He's a versatile house DJ, adept at navigating various styles within the genre. His preference leans towards emotionally charged yet dynamic house music, seamlessly blending deep house, progressive house, and organic house. Occasionally, he infuses melodic elements to sustain the dancefloor's energy.

He has dedicated over 20 years of his life to electronic music and as a result, now manages three labels plus the Truesounds Music Promotion and Management. Hard work finally paid off.

He is more of a DJ but recently started to focus on production as well. His own releases are created in collaboration with co-producers and sounds engineers.

Connecting with people and creating long-lasting memories is what really makes him tick. The DJ booth is his true home.
