Do you remember disaster, the panic on the morning after?
The fervor and the fire, compared to the stillness of the water

I kinda like singin in the darkness, you can’t see all the faces I make

And it’s perfect as it is so it won’t need revision
And it is easy to see the flaw in your foundation, but ain’t the hardest step always admission

She wrote my name on her leg
Fall asleep on the couch, weave your fingers into the fold or disappear in the sound

I am a backyard barbecue, the still glass surface of a swimming pool

But we talked about reality like it was never gonna end up happening
