It was the day George Michael died, it was the 25th of December. A few nights later I couldn't sleep, thinking about his amazing music. At 3am I put all my George Michael songs together, added some other songs and started spontaneously mixing this tribute to our beloved George Michael! Finally, in the morning, when everyone was having breakfast, I was done. So enjoy the man with the most beautiful voice who spread love all over the world, but the world lost him too soon. We will never forget you. This mix is for you.

This is one of two remixes commissioned by Craig Kallman @ Atlantic Records NYC for the 2002 American release of "Walking Away". 
It was done really quickly, as they just wanted a kind of throwback mash-up for the soul/r&b heads. 
The basis for the track is Dennis Edwards & Siedah Garrett's "Don't Look Any Further". 
Some may recognise the bassline, which has also been used in two hip hop classics, Eric B & Rakim's "Paid In Full" and Junior Mafia's "Get Money". 
I'm pretty sure these Soulchild remixes were only available on promo CD/12in.
