Gabriella Vergilov is a Bulgarian-born Copenhagen-based producer, DJ and singer with an idiosyncratic take on electronic music, defined by her energy on the stage, a signature finesse of productions and an obsessive passion for music and aesthetics.
Her sound behind the decks blends synth-infused basslines, cinematic atmospheres and sensual vocals, and has been captivating audiences at clubs and festivals like Shelter Amsterdam, Arena Berlin, Dimensions Festival Croatia, Ampere Antwerp and beyond. Equally embodied in her distinctive and deeply personal productions is the influence of her homeland, from which she is proudly the only Female artist to date to appear on Boiler Room and to have her music played at the world's best dance floor- Berghain.

The 199th episode of our weekly Global Vibe Radio mix series sees us invite Japanese techno mastermind IORI.

A DJ/producer from Okinawa, Japan, now based in Tokyo IORI's musical career started up in Naha, Okinawa in the late 90s. He went to New York in 2003, where he cut his teeth at David Mancuso’s revered party, The Loft, before later on heading back to Japan via Berlin, settling in Tokyo and becoming an omnipresent and leading figure of the local techno scene. IORI is famed in both Japan and stages around the world at the present, thanks to a sound that is deeply influenced by True Deep house, Manuel Gottsching, Moritz Von Oswald, and Basic Channel, which explains why Iori does not only present sets ranging from House to Techno but is also proficient in alternative deep sets.

Characterised by heavy and bouncy rhythms , grand atmospheric synth layers, and deep rolling basslines, IORI has already established his unique sound in the European techno circuit, with releases on Svreca's Semantica, the Dutch Field Records imprint, Mike Parker's Prologue, Phonica White, Britta and many more.

Happy new year everyone. Somehow we made it through this surreal year. Let's hope 2021 brings us back together on the dance floor, sooner rather than later.

Peter Van Hoesen runs Time To Express and Center 91. Together with Atom™ he is SYNC. - a live techno project focused on improvisation and collaboration. Together with Yves De Mey he is Sendai, a forward looking experimental outfit with releases on Editions Mego, Archives Intérieures, Konstrukt and Stroboscopic Artefacts. 

Since December 2024 he runs Memento Mastering, a mastering studio located in Ho Chi Minh City.
