Goodbye My Wattleup is a track about the pain of dislocation and migration. It features the beautiful vocals of Michelle Drieberg. Although born in East Fremantle my Zuvela family have moved backwards and forwards between Australia and the old country 'Croatia', many times. This dislocation is a large feature of my artwork. The Perth suburb of Wattleup (where I use to lived) has all but been removed by the Western Australian Government.

David Gilmour said: “Towards the end of my mother’s life, when she was suffering from dementia, there was a brief crossover period of about 9 months, when she was alive and my daughter was newly born: this song is a musing on that time. Specifically it refers to a walk in the park where my mother was ‘seeing’ pictures, or ‘faces of stone’, hanging in the trees.”
