In  memory of James, a dear man who I met in Kenilworth. He had short term amnesia, a problem which didn't create any issues with getting to know the guy. It was more my own distrust and coldness to the stranger that created a barrier. Anyway, this was written on the day of this very strange and overwhelming day. My dad is also called James and suffers from dementia, so it was a very meaningful and bizarre fate which pulled my heart in two different directions when coming up with the song. To this day I wish I was more open and sympathetic towards James, and hope that while his mind may not remember me, his soul does.

Kanakuzu is a word for scrap metal, steel scrap, filings.
It is also the name of the river flowing near our home.
Our home was built on the site of what had been a small metalworking factory.
These tracks are about fragments of metal and fragments of life and experience.

Pete Swinton is a half Hungarian, half Polish man born in London, UK in 1961. Between 1988 and 2003 he lived in Portugal. Since 2015 he lives in Jawa, Indonesia. He began playing guitar in the '70s. He started playing keyboards in the 2000s. He makes Ambient and Experimental music. And a cross between the 2 which he calls Insanbient music. He was using the name Srigala but has now stopped. (To hear the music as accurately as it was recorded and mixed the use of headphones is strongly recommended)
