With his mom being paralyzed when he was only 11, the only way he could cope with himself was writing music. Cape Town-based artist, musician, audio-engineer and Tonmeister, Davor 'Davs' Denis Mastanjevic founded the collective in 2013. The intention: to create quirky, modern music with a retro 80's twist.
Electric Dove is an independent, creative entity. Its output is not restricted to a particular genre nor limited by any third party. In short, it is a portal for complete creative expression without the pressure of any external factors that may stifle the process.

The band's sound evokes luminaries such as King Crimson, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, INXS, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, U2, Lindsay Buckingham, Yes, Robert Plant, and Peter Gabriel, amongst others.

The collective consists of the following musicians and audio professionals:
- Drums: Kevin Gibson (Winston Mankunku)
- Guitars: Enrico 'Kikko' Sesselego (Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert) and Joel Bronner (Feverstone, Caelo)
- Additional keyboards on EP 4: Braide Opubu (accomplished jazz musician and producer)
- Saxophones: Stefan Schweizer (Heather Nova)
- Backing vocals: Ayla Hill (Rocky Horror Picture Show - Italy) 
- Bass, keyboards, programming, arrangements, vocals: Davor 'Davs' Mastanjevic (Nowheremen, Aura, Electric Elvis)
- Recording, mixing, and mastering: Peter Pearlson (Hugh Masekela, U2, Duran Duran)

Hello earthlings, 
We created METHANOIA in March (2020) with the goal of bringing you refreshing and powerful sounds, blending hypnotic melodies with trippy effects. We will take you to a journey where you will feel alive translating the music into your own story. We have a lot of influence by organic sounds and instruments making our psytrance/ progressive psytrance digestible and easy to follow, of course we don’t forget our roots that’s why we have powerful baselines to trip you away and bring you back soaked from us.

We come from a parallel universe bringing you awesome music, METHANOIA is made up by 2 parts (J and C), we started producing around 10 years ago and we first created DenCity full of Psytrance then a few years later we made BitterSweet being our progressive trance project.

Our music is influenced by a lot of psytrance producers having tastes from everywhere, Israel and Brazil mostly. We can say we´re in the middle of them blending several styles and types of psytrance.

Creamos METHANOIA in Marzo (2020) con el propósito de traerles sonidos refrescantes y potentes, mezclando melodías hipnóticas con efectos trippy. Los llevaremos a un viaje donde se sentirán vivos traduciendo la música en su propia historia, tenemos mucha influencia por los sonidos e instrumentoss orgánicos haciendo de nuestro psytrance/progressive psytrance mas digerible y fácil de seguir, por supuesto que no olvidamos nuestras raíces por lo cual tenemos bajos muy potentes que los llevaran y después traerán empapados de nosotros

Venimos de un universo paralelo trayéndoles música rica, METHANOIA esta conformado por 2 partes (J y C), empezamos a producir alrededor de hace 10 años creando primeramente a DenCity que esta llenos de psytrance y unos años mas tarde creámoslos BitterSweet nuestro proyecto de progrissive trance

Nuestra musica esta influenciada por musco productores de psytrance teniendo gusto de todos lados, mayormente de Israel y Brasil. Podemos decir que nosotros estamos en medio de esos 2 estilos y tipos de psytrance.
