Recently I was hired to compose and produce a piece of music to be used as an introduction for a hardcore band at the beginning of their set. They sent me a brief of what they were looking for, an example of the song it would lead into, and some ideas of things to include (deep and hard bassline, quote of Ronald Reagan, atmospheric and calm at first building to a more dense sound toward the end, etc, etc).
