Puls Kluba is a mix serial of in-house artists, residents and contributing friends from all around. We're kicking off with our friend & resident Pepi Jogarde. 

Hailing from Croatia, Pepi juggles numerous roles with finesse - a radio presenter, DJ, promoter, organic winemaker and gourmet chef. He has won acclaim as an event coordinator for international music festivals in Tisno and as the host of the widely celebrated radioshow, Adriatic Coasting on yammatFM. He maintains residency at Peti Kupe in Croatia's capital, Zagreb, and was formerly known in the industry as Jogarde. With an illustrious DJ career spanning over two decades across Europe, Pepi has made his presence felt through club nights like Freilauf and collaborations such as forty:love. He has introduced audiences in Zagreb to top-tier acts, fostering a vibrant atmosphere fueled by inspiring music. He's had the privilege to host world-renowned disco and house aficionados like Hunee, Prins Thomas, Gerd Janson, Dixon, Ame, Metro Area, Antal, Jimi Jules, Roman Flügel, Henrik Schwarz, Boo Williams and many more. His rich musical background and unyielding enthusiasm have been defining factors in pushing boundaries and catapulting small underground clubs onto the global stage, emphasizing the importance of such intimate spaces. Pepi is renowned for his spellbinding seven-hour sets, seamlessly blending disco, house, techno, and dancefloor-friendly krautrock into a distinct, palpable, and somewhat melancholic sound. Today, he is considered by many as one of Croatia's finest DJs. He's had the honor of sharing the stage with legends like Francois Kevorkian, Theo Parrish, Derrick Carter, Danny Krivit and Kenny Dope, and has performed at esteemed events and venues such as Dekmantel Selectors, Love International, Dimensions, Lost In A Moment, Sonus, Clubs in Barcelona, 20/44 in Belgrade, about:blank in Berlin, Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf, among others.

Puls Kluba #001 - Pepi Jogarde (Live @ Peti Kupe Terrace, Zagreb)

It is a common view that hobbies are something that people do and engage in out of love, that they enjoy and that fulfill them indescribably and that they do primarily for their own pleasure. Felver is one of the lucky ones whose hobby is actually a job. His curiosity knows no bounds, so he likes to share with the public all the intriguing artists he discovers, with whom he shares the same view of the electronic music scene. What really excites him is good music, and the possibility to flirt with people and exchange emotions through it in a unique way on the dance floor.

Along with Dixon, he is the father of Stereotip, and having spent more than 25 years on the scene, he has defined the Zagreb and Croatian club scene like no other DJ. His nocturnal energy and appeal have been so irresistible for almost three decades that he can win over any audience in no time at most places where he performs. He tirelessly and uncompromisingly brings the best dance sounds, whether as a DJ, promoter or organizer of unique events, which enlightens the audience again and again, but also proves that he is an indispensable authority who takes you on a unique journey with his sound.

Puls Kluba #002 - Felver (Live @ Peti Kupe, Zagreb)

His secret weapon lies in hosting All Night Strong club nights, where he often presents the past and future of house music to the audience in a more intimate atmosphere. Runy's magical sound formula is an organic house immersed in deep shamanistic trance with unexpected jazzy and disco excursions. The blend of old and new, classics mixed with lesser-known or obscure musical gems, creates a hypnotic and healing synergy that often takes the listener to unexpected places.
His production reflects his sensibility and transcends genres, balancing between house and techno. Runy flirts with jazz elements and deep, dark club atmospheres in his music.

Puls Kluba #003 - Runy (Live @ Peti Kupe, Zagreb)

A veritable powerhouse of the Croatian techno scene Insolate has been establishing a global presence as a DJ and producer for over 20 years delivering as both a label boss at Out Of Place and the creative force behind their electrifying TRAUM events.  

Hailing from Osijek, Croatia, on the wide Croatian East – a town that at first glance a heavy industrial atmosphere overshadows, she is making her first steps as a DJ back in 1997 before taking over European and worldwide clubs. 

Her list of clubs and partys she played is impressive and includes Berghain, Rex, Tresor, Under Club, Club d’Anvers, Unter, Exit Festival, Tomorrowland, ADE and Dimensions Festival. Amongst many European clubs she played numerous tours in Colombia and recently added USA, China and Argentina to the list.

As a producer, she's had a string of releases on highly respected labels including DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted, Marcelus’s Singular and Developer’s Modularz - supported and played by some of techno's finest including Laurent Garnier, DVS1, Dax J and Ilario Alicante. Also she released the stellar Obscure Object Of Desire EP on JoeFarr's new User Experience imprint, EP for a Suara and beautiful EP for Proletarijat, label run by Sev Dah. She also contributed to Ben Sim’s compilation Tribology among giants as Planetary Assault Systems, Oscar Mulero, Steffi etc.  and also made super interesting collaboration with french producer Arnaud le Texier and released EP with him for Prodigal Son.

In 2019. she announced her debut album. The album Order is Chaos was released as a double vinyl and contains 10 tracks with extremely interesting collaborations with MATRIXXMAN and singer SARA RENAR.
DJ Mag (UK) described album as “exciting journey thru trans-dimensional vocals, acid drenched sequences and floor obligated bangers.”

Insolate is also a major contributor to the Croatian techno scene, so much so that she was in Ibiza to receive the award for "Dance Nation of the Year" at the DJ Awards on behalf of her nation. Her and long-time partner in crime Volster also run the event series TRAUM in her native Osijek. TRAUM events have cemented their place in the clubbing calendar with quality artists like Paula Temple, Antigone, Cassegrain, Janice, Etapp Kyle and Milton Bradley, just to name a few. The success of the TRAUM nights caught the attention of Red Bull Music Academy and Dimensions – both of which they have hosted official events for. 

Insolate being an international messenger of techno was recognised by Ambassador award that gave her a title "Croatia’s ambassador overseas" for 2017.

The final part of putting Osijek on the techno map was taken in 2015 with the launch of the label Out Of Place which Insolate runs with Volster. The label was named in honour of the beautiful struggle of carving your own way into the scene from a place that's well off the grid from the traditional capitals of techno. Now five releases strong, the label has already had contributions from heavyweights like Milton Bradley, Developer, JoeFarr, Francois X, Janice and many more.

As a DJ, Insolate is well known for her no-compromise, pure-bred techno sets. It's clear to anyone who's seen her perform that she's an artist with a lot of experience but also plenty of inspiration and ambition, and a deep knowledge of techno. She is simply a natural presence in a DJ booth. If you've seen her play, you will know exactly what this means.

Imogen Recordings, the esteemed Zagreb-based label, is commemorating its anniversary with the launch of a groundbreaking project: Imogen Soundsystem. Curated by founders Ilija Rudman and Antonio Žuža, this innovative venture transcends traditional DJ performances. The duo not only shares the stage but collaborates on original productions and remixes.

The adoption of the name "soundsystem" signifies the potency of their collaborative efforts, departing from the typical back-to-back DJ approach. Rudman and Žuža believe that their musical synergy, aligned sensibilities, and effective communication through vinyl justify the adoption of a more robust title for their joint project.

In contrast to the prevalent trend among larger DJs, who use back-to-back performances for marketing advantages, Imogen Soundsystem aims to uphold the integrity of the underground culture. They emphasize the significance of clear delineation in DJ performances, ensuring the audience knows when each artist takes the stage.

Rudman and Žuža remain steadfast in their commitment to precision in their musical craftsmanship, consciously steering away from a punk approach where rehearsals are deemed final material. Their dedication is evident in their pursuit of well-defined sequences and effects, emphasizing an uncompromising approach to their musical artistry.

The enthralling collaboration of Atjazz and Fred Everything unfolded in a remarkable live performance at Peti Kupe. The duo, celebrated for their individual prominence in the electronic music scene, united for an enchanting back-to-back set that resonated with the audience in a profound sonic journey.

Atjazz, also known as Martin Iveson, is a prolific DJ and producer in the world of deep house and electronic music. Hailing from the United Kingdom, Atjazz consistently pushes boundaries with his distinctive sound, blending soulful melodies, intricate rhythms, and a touch of jazz influences. His live performances create an immersive atmosphere, transporting listeners to a world of sonic exploration.

Fred Everything, born Frederic Blais, brings his Canadian flair to the stage. A stalwart in the deep house scene, Fred Everything has garnered a reputation for his versatile production style and infectious DJ sets. With a career spanning over two decades, he has left an indelible mark on the global dance music landscape. Fred Everything's sets are characterized by a seamless fusion of soulful grooves and vibrant melodies, captivating audiences worldwide.

Together, Atjazz and Fred Everything's collaborative set at Peti Kupe showcased not only their individual artistry but also their ability to complement each other in a live performance setting. The crowd was treated to a sonic tapestry that seamlessly wove together their distinct styles, creating an atmosphere of euphoria and dancefloor unity.

Rainer Trüby, ex-member of A Forest Mighty Black and today's master of rare vinyl and wine, is still busy with DJing around the globe (few airports have not seen his metal record box--vinyl, yes!) spreading his musical vision of "good music" delivering in between the different facets of house and electronic music and mixing it up with his beloved roots. Known as part of the Trüby Trio and selector for compilations such as Glücklich or Talkin Jazz, and later Maiden Voyage (Compost) and Beats & Oexle (Sonarkollektiv) you wouldn't challenge his musical taste at all. We're honoured to have him for this fantastic warm-up set at Peti Kupe for another Freilauf session.
