The 10th of December 2004 we released our first vinyl. The release was called "Norwegian Core Definition". The A1 track was called "Netherworld". It was also remixed by The Outside Agency. Since the release was 10 years ago this year (we didn't want to wait until December), we have remade "Netherworld". Feel free to download, share, play it at parties etc etc! This release is all Hidden. Him handling this release solo came at a great time. I was smack in the middle of some turbulent times in my life and I was also in the middle of moving house. I think… Maybe I wasn’t moving, but the first part is definitely true. Like I said, Hidden did all the music for this. When he played me 740MHz I told him he could release three recordings of himself farting along with it for all I cared. 740 is such an immensely powerful track. Holy damn. I did have a hand in the titles and samples for the release, however. As we’re both big fans of Buckaroo Banzai we just had to do something with the Eighth Dimension aspect for our eighth release. If you have not seen this movie you should pick up a copy as soon as you can.

Petrochemical - To Conquer Fear

Petrochemical is a hardcore project from Norway by the duo Andrè Løver (Bioserver) & Espen Westum (ToXtoy). Since 2004 they have made raw darkcore and industrial sounds without sticking to any rule. 

ToXtoy and Bioserver met each other by coincident outside their highschool in 1998. Bioserver needed to light his cigarette and asked the person closest to him, who happened to be ToXtoy.They immediately started talking about music ofcourse, and found out that they had fairly similar taste. But at the time bioserver had not heard about Hardcore. So after ToXtoy introduced him to it, he went home and produced his first Hardcore called "A Gun In Your Hand".So after Bioserver showed ToXtoy the track, they got the idea to begin producing Hardcore together. And they soon found out that they could use Bioservers eclectic taste of music and unorthodox production skills, and ToXtoys knowledge about Hardcore and Techno to produce highly original tracks.Since 1998 they have called themselves numerous names like " The Napalm Crew" (because of ToXtoys heavy use of hair-gel at the time), "Multi Style", "The Loud Culture" (discarded because of TLC) and probably even more names. But in 2001 they finally agreed to call themselves "Petrochemical", because they wanted to be assosiated with heavy industrial sounds and atmospheres. ToXtoy is the DJ representing Petrochemical during performances. Since 2002 he has had bookings in Sweden, Belgium, Holland, Germany and USA and played at festivals like Nightmare Outdoor, Q-Base, Decibel Outdoor, Ground Zero and Hardshock. In his native county (Norway) he don't have many bookings because of his hard style. The hardcore scene is pretty much dead in Norway.
