Demo Song for the Pettyjohn STEALTH Limited Core pedal. The Demo starts with the clean tone of the 1986 Fender Strat going direct in through a ToneX. Each progression we add a step of gain. The final tone is using the max gain setting (AKA Nuke) featuring a warm velco fuzz tone with a natural gate, heard cutting off at the very end. 

The Lead line is a Blade Tele in the bridge position running in max gain/ Nuke setting.

I made this little cluster of musical ideas being inspired by a 5-day Sync songwriting workshop with Catch The Moon Music.  I did all this within a couple of hours and is very much a work in progress.

Eyes On The Prize B1

I've been a mess this week.  I've felt emotionally and mentally overloaded.  I'm learning how to make music that is more commercially viable.  whatever that even means.  So most of what I've been making has been aimed at serving advertising, tv and movies.  The thing is, making music is one of the primary ways I cope with the mental illness that's been a burden to me since I was a boy.  I needed to make something for pure therapeutic value.  I made this because I needed to.  I made this because, for some reason, I've felt like bursting out into irrational sobbing mental breakdown zone.....and there is a wall inside me that prohibits this kind of release for some reason.  so I've started making these tracks as a way to get the cathartic release that I need.  I hope that they can meet you where you are and at least help you to know that you're not alone.  Grace to us all.

I've Been Isolated

My studio has changed locations 3 times in the last 3 months.  Due to Covid-19 and working to get the right fit in my house.  I'd say now that it's the best it's ever been.  I'm close to my family, my place is as vibey as ever.  I've got these matching glowing salt lamps on top of my monitors and it makes me happy to see them not to mention all the health that they give me.  This is the first track I made in the new spot to kind of break it in.  I think it's going to go very well.  Hope you dig the track!
