The fourth instalment in Pev's Pulse series finds him further widening the scope of his sound as he touches on the distinct energies which inform his unique strain of soundsystem techno. 

'Pulse XIII' deals in stark, tweaked-out acid lines cutting through a taut drum machine backbone, balanced out with a sci-fi pad which lets you know its Pev at the controls. 'Pulse XIV' finds him dialling up his jungle roots once more for a dreamy excursion into diced up breaks, cascading synths and dislocated piano chord chops. There's a deeper dub techno spirit to 'Pulse XV' and 'Pulse XVI' deals in the raw, bleep-informed jack tracks that have started to creep into Pev's sound as the Pulse series has evolved.

London-based selectors Rosie Ama & Nadia Harris (aka @wearekiarascuro) join the @fauxpoly family, kicking off the year with their debut EP 'Night Crush'.

"For this EP, we took inspiration from our favourite club memories across our 8-year journey as a duo," they explain. "We wrote the first two tracks originally, over and over until they became stripped away with barely any melody, so there’s nothing to carry you through, you can just get lost in the weirdness."

Livity Sound welcomes Joe Milli to the fold with an assured EP of crisp club workouts that land between techno's evocative depth and UK funky's offbeat, drum-focused functionality. 

Over the past few years Milli has been establishing his sound across a swathe of radio shows, guest mixes and releases, and he lands on Livity with a timeless take on the label's commitment to stripped back, atmospheric soundsystem music. 

There's variety across the Deep Forest EP, ranging from the balmy bassweight house of the title track to the deep-diving dub pulses and bruk drum science of 'Look Again'. 'Keep That Wire' draws nervous energy from its synth hooks and the taut, angular beat before the rolling Detroit techno pulse of 'Expressions' brings the EP home in punchy, percussion-loaded style. 

In line with past releases from the likes of Bakongo, DJ Polo and Tribal Brothers, Milli's strength lies in his ability to bend the UK funky formula to different styles, all precision-tooled for the club.

Joe Milli - Keep That Wire

Kyoto-based producer Stones Taro is launching a new self-released series titled "Byproduct," with the first installment, an EP of the same name, dropping exclusively on his Bandcamp.

This new series pushes Stones Taro's experimental side, distinct from his label NC4K. As the title suggests, these tracks are like musical "byproducts"—challenging and different from his usual style. However, even with these unique sounds, his signature dancefloor-ready beats are still very much present.

Stones Taro plans to continue releasing more tracks on his Bandcamp. Keep an eye out for his evolving sound.

'Bite The Hand That Feeds You' is the debut EP from Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Jasmín. Blending genres, moods, and eras, it draws on her Dutch-Argentinian roots while channeling the nostalgia of teenage discovery: "that formative era of girlhood where you're growing up online and building your world digitally." Across three tracks, Jasmín explores the tension between this lasting inner world and the harsher realities outside, weaving techno, bass, and dub into percussion-driven music defined by both force and introspection.

“Spacer Woman” by Charlie is one of the most iconic and enigmatic releases of early 1980s Italo Disco. Produced in 1983 by Italian musician Maurizio Cavalieri under his project name Charlie, the track came out on the Vicenza-based label Mr. Disc Organization, co-founded by Cavalieri. It was co-written with Giorgio Stefani, who also shaped the song’s sci-fi narrative.

The haunting female vocal — performed by Stefani’s wife — is one of its defining elements. Processed through a vocoder, her voice gains a futuristic, otherworldly quality that perfectly matches the story of a lonely space traveler.

Built on shimmering analog synths, a hypnotic arpeggiated bassline, and cosmic minimal drum programming, the track felt far ahead of its time. Its darker, more mysterious tone set it apart from typical disco productions and later influenced electro, synthwave, and modern electronic music.

Though not a commercial hit initially, “Spacer Woman” grew into a cult classic through collectors, DJs, and decades of underground circulation — now regarded as a timeless highlight of Italo Disco’s golden era.

The Vertex Loop Edit pushes “Spacer Woman” into a 138 BPM driving techno groove, built on a bouncy hypnotic bassline, melodic percussion, and sharp stabs. Keeping key elements like the original synth layers and iconic vocal, this version is made for the dancefloor — or a summer drive to the lake.
