Galactic Groove Records present the second edition of our mix series sets.
This time around we feature a carefully crafted set from one of our label dj`s and all around legend PoP EyE. 
We share this set on a very special day as today he celebrates his birthday and also on this day one year ago to the day PoP EyE officially joined Galactic Groove Records and has become a very important member of the family.

Bio:
PoP EyE is the alter ego of Mario Popovic born in 1983 in the small city of Osijek on the river Drava in Croatia.
Now residing in Dublin, Ireland.

His first contact with electronic music was from childhood with his love growing more for it later in life when started going to parties where he was introduced to new genres.

In 2014 he discovered psychedelic trance.
Amazed with what he heard and saw at psy parties and festivals, for the first time he had the desire to participate in the music scene and become a DJ.

Already a valued member of "Galactic Groove Records" he recently joined with forces "Bhooteshwara Records" and is currently working on a new various artists compilation, which is due for release soon.

PoP EyE | Galactic Groove Mix Series Vol.2 (26/06/2021)

This is a journey through "Quadrivium Records" music, presented by label DJ, Azrael. Azrael got in contact with the psychedelic movement in 2012 at small parties around his hometown of Freiburg, Black Forest where he discovered and fell in love with the magic world of the night psychedelic soundscapes. He knew from the start that "just" listening would not be enough, he had to get behind the decks and so he found his passion for mixing deep sounds to create new, unknown stories of his favourite artists and labels, then eventually started to play his own sets. In 2019 he joined the "Quadrivium Records" collective, three years later the legendary Gaggalacka Festival crew. As he continuously seeks new ways to express himself in the dark forest, his sets are characterized through organic and atmospheric stories with a generous deeply groove and range from 148 to 155 bpm, composing sets that makes you feel like the woods are whispering to you.

In Focus with us is Portuguese Dj and producer, Rafael Gomes aka MAKOLLY and his "Novum Iter" titled live set. Makolly's history and passion for music began at a very young age, feeling the great, vibrant grooves of the Brazilian bands of samba and football. When he listened to a track from Infected Mushrooms for the first time, he quickly fell in love with the genre, and shortly after started going to psychedelic trance parties. His interest in music never stopped and the result is this project. Getting inspiration from all psychedelic trance he searches from memorable grooves to sharp, mind-altering sounds, with which he can provide fat basses and all the great technics of sound design he has learned, combining analog and digital, he brings a fusion of all sounds packed with the energy to blast any dancefloor. Always working to improve his technics, all he wants is to bring the music to the people and feel the joy through their dancing. Sharing his vision and the experience he brings you.

This Looney Moon episode features DRIBBLE and this new live set with lots of new stuff from his upcoming album. Dribble is a live act psychedelic trance producer from Syria based in the US. Being a part of the well-known progressive metal band, Animate Experience since 2007, he produced, wrote, and played throughout the underground metal scene in Dubai. He started experimenting with diverse music styles in the ever-evolving underground scene, which has given him the ability to blend the intricacy of studio production processes with the immediacy of engaging live performances.  The first Psychedelic Trance bug bite was on the beaches of Goa at the all mighty dance temple, Shiva Valley, in the early years of 2014. Ever since, he has been on a quest to produce a myriad of sounds for the strong-hearted listener. Dribble’s production incorporates heavy polyrhythmic pattern leads, an eerie ambiance driven by a consistent bass-line. His intention is to access more reviving, rejuvenating and serene states of mind simply by listening, meditating, and being in unison with the natural rhythm of the breath, allowing the body to release stagnant energy.

Parvati Records presents ECTOGASMICS with a set also featuring tracks from their coming EP "The Soul". The Ectogasmics duo are two halves of a brain that are constantly competing with and complimenting each other, melding together into one entity. Through practical jokes using analog and digital synths and effects, after intense scrutiny and with the motivation to make people burst into laughter and stretch every muscle of their body and brain and wiggle their third eye. They hope that the final brew is innovative and powerful enough to feed and stimulate the most serious parts of the mind but also funny enough to be translated into a comic book strip. In 2012 they were taken under the wing of Parvati Records. Ectogasmics are responsible for a proverbial firework of creativity that, after years of fine tuning, culminated in the next logical step on the psychedelic evolution ladder.

After many years of studying soundology and experimenting with all kinds of electronic equipment and sound sources, the time is ripe to put all thoughts together and express them in music. From science f(r)iction to science facts, expect a mode of subversive psychedelia blended with a bit of poetry.

Welcome to Forestdelic Records series with DJ DAMZAH, a psychedelic trance DJ from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina with over 20 years of experience, and a co-founder of the DJ association Inner Sunrise. In his DJ sets, he plays styles depending on the time he performs, ranging from deep, dark psytrance to Forest and a total groovy psychedelic sound.  In May 2012, he became the official DJ for Forestdelic Records. DaMzaH has performed throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and more.  In recent years, he has focused on releasing compilations: Branch Nutation (2015), Quantum Transitions (2016), Modicum (2018), Supernaut (2020), and Quantum Transitions Vol. 2 (2021), all signed under Forestdelic Records.  He is considered one of the initiators of psychedelic music and culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
