An extension of a 1979 classic by Gina X Performance, the electro pioneers who fused Euro-disco synth pop with an arthouse performance sensibility and sexually provocative imagery. 'C'est La Vie Ma Cherie' showcases Gina Kikoine's much-imitated detached, narrative vocal style, set above an irresistible groove, lovingly given the contemporary dance floor touch by Peza. The song was dedicated to Quentin Crisp, the writer and self-styled 'stately homo', the 'No GDM' lyric and original title referring to the unattainable 'great dark man' of his sexual imaginings.

I started editing this with a Cornish sunset as a backdrop, finished it in a drizzly, grey Wolverhampton! I love pretty much everything by The Bunnymen, this might be my favourite!
Hope you like the edit...subtle but brings a few elements out I think.
