PIG FARM CONSORTIUM: is a grassroots recording studio currently located in the city of Newberg just outside the DIY mecca of Portland, Oregon. We are a trade-based studio that provides flexible and creative payment terms for recording services, rather than having a set fee structure. We work with musicians and artists to come to agreement for contributions to PFC in return for recording services. All contributions are then used to invest back into the studio.  Examples of contributions include monetary donations, instruments, and recording equipment.

PFC’s overall objective is to continue growing and providing recording services for musicians and artists to get their projects off the ground, gain momentum, and improve the sonic impacts of their work. Our approach is to build a consortium of musicians and recording enthusiasts that creates a supporting community of musicians and artists, who are willing to contribute their time and talents towards PFC and customer recording projects.
