“Every winter my brother and I, along with some very close friends, take a couple trips up north in Michigan to enjoy the fresh snowfall & we hike, cross-country ski, and snowboard. Deep conversation always seems to go the best with deep music. So - we tend to listen to dub techno, other deep shades of techno, jazz, experimental, and deeper styles of hip hop during these trips - it seems to fit well with the new blankets of snow and the serenity of our surroundings. I wanted to record a mix that would capture the feel of the recent trip that we had together this year, but also reflect my love of the Sungate label and the quality music they have been putting out on the EP’s and Podcasts.
