Em uma tribo que vive no Saara, há uma tradição secular das mulheres esperarem seus maridos à noite no alto das dunas, voltando da travessia no deserto e as vezes das batalhas.

Essa espera aflora os desejos de acolhimento pela falta do aconchego no dia-a-dia. E quando eles começam a aparecer no horizonte, contrastando os vultos com o brilho das estrelas, elas começam a entoar uma canção de alegria para afastar a solidão sentida pela ausência de seus amores, que agora está prestes a acabar. A alegria de vê-los se aproximar é expressada no canto cada vez mais alto, mais forte e mais vibrante. Porque agora as suas vidas vão voltar à normalidade.
