Joining us for PHSRMX.3 is https://soundcloud.com/fixedrhythms label head Jack McKenzie. Since 2018 the OKC-based label has released some of the highest-quality dance records to grace the current underground. If you've been to a PHAASER party, chances are you've moved to their work.

McKenzie's all-vinyl mix gives over 50 minutes of blunt belters, techno churners, and beefy breaks. Rude, rowdy, raw.

One hour of head-splitting hard techno and thrashy schranz selected by Leipzig’s resident devil, DJ Angst. Founder of Angst Tapes, DJ Angst has crafted a sound that stays true to his name. Rugged, anxious, and explosive.

PHSRMX.4 - DJ Angst

Havik is a techno DJ and producer from Ireland, with a sound rooted in the golden era of techno. His music draws on deep grooves, sharp tension and emotive drive—earning support from names like Ben Klock, Rødhåd, Marrøn, Alarico, Temudo, Kaiser, and Setaoc Mass.

He’s released on labels including BCCO, SYXT, Concrete Tbilisi, Syncopated Records, PRTL WRX, Observant, and Club Meatmarket. His second vinyl release on Circuit Structure Records is set to drop in May 2025.

Havik’s tracks have found their way into sets at some of the world’s top underground clubs—Berghain, Bassiani, Tresor and beyond—speaking to the raw power and wide reach of his sound.

This mix was recorded in his home studio in Ireland. It marks an important moment for Havik and reflects what peak-time means to him: groove, tension, energy and emotion. It blends both old and new underground techno into one tight, driving journey.

PHSRMX.5 - KARMASMATIK

A relentless force behind the decks Berlin-based duo Alvaro and Domenik aka ‘Disguised’ bring a raw, driving energy shaped by their love for early 2000s techno. As residents of HEISSS and familiar faces at RSO and Tresor, their sets balance velocity with emotion, layering percussive pressure with flickers of melody and hypnotic depth.

Beyond the booth, their vision expands through INHERIT, their own imprint launched in 2020 as a platform for forward-thinking techno and a space to nurture both their sound and that of like-minded artists.

Their sound is tightly interwoven with their visual language; intense, rhythmic, and immersive. From producing their own music videos to curating the aesthetic world around each release, Disguised approach techno as a full-spectrum art form, where every detail feeds the narrative.

Podcast #251 is a sharp embodiment of their vision: high-impact, emotionally charged, and built with the precision of two minds working as one.

Berlin-based Parisian Gannein is rapidly making his presence felt in the subterranean techno landscape. His productions are already earning serious props from heavy hitters like Ben Klock and Ben Sims, with tracks frequently making it into sets by a broad spectrum of DJs, from Luke Slater and Speedy J to Nastia and Dave Clarke. This widespread support underscores Gannein's truly unique sound, which has swiftly captivated industry insiders, with a few of his tracks becoming regular fixtures in clubs like Berghain and Bassiani. His deep dedication to his craft is evident in his impressive technical abilities and the raw power and visceral emotion he pours into his tracks. Gannein's DJ sets are just as potent as his productions. He's honed his artistry on renowned dancefloors globally, including Tresor, Renate, and Razzmatazz. Gannein is definitively an artist to keep a close eye on.

Lucyd is a Bulgarian-born, Poland-based DJ, producer, and co-owner of the Calosc label. Her sound moves between groovy and hardgroovy techno, driven by a background in sound design and years of experience as an audio engineer.
Her productions have gained recognition on platforms such as HATE, Techno Germany, Grab The Groove, Duplicity, MOTZ, Lost in Ether, POLISH TECHNOLOGY and more. This support has helped her music reach audiences across Europe’s underground. Beyond the studio, Lucyd has brought her sets to Berlin’s about blank, Kit Kat, OXI, Renate, Anomalie as well as Amsterdam Dance Event, and clubs and festivals throughout Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Denmark and more.
