Born and raised in Inglewood, CA, Therdchild is a producer, recording artist, sound designer, and photographer. Studying the works of artists such as Timberland, Outkast, Alchemist, and J Dilla to Lex Luger, CardoGotWings, and Honorable C-Note (to name a few), Therdchild's natural creative curiosity allows him to maintain his presence of mind, which he says is crucial to the process.

"When I’m creating, I ask myself so many questions. What do I like? Oh, ok! Why do I like that? What’s cool about that? What does this make me feel? How do I communicate this feeling? ..and in doing so, we invite the viewer/listener to share in our discovery. We discover ourselves through being still and present enough to dial into our inner worlds and bring them out for others to experience and enjoy. As creators, we foster the kind of connection that you may miss if you aren’t present with us for those 2-3 minutes at a time."
