Symmetry Recordings is proud to announce this debut release from new signing Boston.  At just 20 years old Boston’s talent for music is evident in this tasteful and exciting single. Hailing from Cardiff, Boston has teamed up with the equally delicious skills of female singer / songwriter Solis for their haunting but uplifting A side track “Go With Me” - A rolling but musical jungle groove, peppered with his own soulful guitar and keyboard licks, performed with Solis’s rich and subtle but moreishly catchy vocal delivery. This track gets stuck in your head, but in a really welcome fashion, like a dream from the night before.

The flip side “The Little Things” - once again highlights Boston’s musical skills bringing a combination of bluesy guitars, filmic pads and well placed vocal licks with a club friendly combo of shaker breaks and rolling reece bass to your ears. Receiving fantastic club reactions and strong Dj support this is definitely an example of how to nail a debut.

Opening the EP is Departure, a lush and emotive piece that blends sweeping strings and delicate piano with a crisp stepping rhythm. The track builds gracefully, layering melodies into an epic, heartfelt journey.
Next up is Taking It Back, a warm and inviting track featuring rolling drums, catchy hooks, and intertwining melodies that create a comforting, immersive atmosphere.
Silent Desire follows, weaving intricate piano arpeggios, melodic textures, and soothing pads, all brought to life by a spoken vocal that deepens the emotional resonance.

Bio:

Cypriot born producer Alexandre Pavlou aka Phaction’s passion for music was founded through a love of drumming from an early age. He moved to Bristol in 2007 where his growing fascination for Drum and Bass music was catalysed by the diverse vibe and nightlife of the city. After learning to mix and playing out live with high energy sets he began craving a new challenge and sought a different medium through which to express his creativity.

His journey into music production began in 2013. Inspired by the sounds of the city and music all around him, his love ranges widely from classical and jazz through to film scores and even metal, which have become intrinsic in the vibe of his productions.

The up and coming producer has collaborated with the likes of GLXY, Hugh Hardie, as well as exceptional vocal talents such as Leo Wood, Charli Brix & Riya. After hearing his work, Total Science signed his music to their legendary imprint CIA, culminating in a 5 track EP that gained support from the likes of Goldie, Lenzman, Halogenix, DJ Marky and Foreign Concept.

His debut EP 'Hard Truth' on Metalheadz gained wide DJ support, with Aviatrix ft. Riya being picked up by Adidas to promote their latest Spezial clothing range.

'A new name to some, but already turning the heads of many distinguished tastemakers – it’s time to get to know about Phaction. Having only been producing for a year or two, his ideas and sound belie this fact, showing a maturity and class that takes others years to develop.
