Compass is the focus track from the debut album Compass from Koresma. The song finds its way into the project via the sonic landscape of the North EP featuring a danceable beat and lush ambience. Compass was created after the whole album was finished and conceptually it serves as a combination of all the unique elements brought together on the album journey.

This album is about finding your own path and using your internal compass. This project has taken me many years to complete and musically I’ve grown in that time. The song Compass pays respects to early elements of my productions such as guitars and synths and I wanted to express where I am now musically with sounds like vocals and more danceable beats. To further commit to the concept, I used sounds from songs from each of the EP’s to help blend and evolve the sound palette.”

Bluebird is a collaboration between Koresma and Josh Jacobson. The song takes inspiration from their love of skiing and the thrill of scoring perfect conditions aka a “bluebird day”. Featuring a chilled atmosphere of organic house beats and lush pianos, Bluebird is a great for the pre-mountain activities, suiting up your gear and getting stoked to go ride. The song came to life by creatively resampling an idea recorded on my piano during our first session, bringing emotional piano tone together with organic house beats.

‘Surrender’ carries a definite Eastern character with it. More dancefloor focused, it develops from an off kilter beat and percussive flourishes to a luscious tapestry of reverbed synths in a similar vein to @ambassadeurs hugely successful 'Halos' EP.
