The 'Midnight' EP is Moscow DJ/producer/remixer Mute Noise's first outing on F*CLR. The 12" contains the vinyl only track 'Northern Lights'. Check out the review in Chicago's house magazine, 5 Magazine. Need I say anything more?

F*CLR are hugely excited and honoured to present Moscow producer/DJ Mutenoise aka Alexander Bannikov and his masterful ‘Midnight’ EP – available on digital and limited 12”, the vinyl has the bonus track, ‘Northern Lights’, which isn’t being digitally promo’d so you’ll have to buy the vinyl! But meanwhile, back to the EP – kicking off with Mutenoise’s original version of ‘Midnight’, rooted in the deep tradition of jazz dancers, has a toughness that crosses over and aligns itself to modern house with a warm, soulful vibe. On the remix tip, Ashley Beedle ramps up the drums with a nod towards the classic sound of 90’s New York and MAW releases and along with the ‘Stripped Back’ + ‘Mixers Delight’ edits, he adds an extra element of remix goodness for the heads. ‘Rules of Monopoly’ is proper late night tunage, perfect for those 5am sets, with its crisp handclaps + percussion, rising chords underpinned by an unwavering bassline – house music at it’s very best. And just to tease you – ‘Northern Lights’ (bonus vinyl only track) - another jazz soaked house track with beautiful chords, ephemeral vocal samples – echoes of downtown Moscow after dark….

When the sun comes up over Dresden, one man is already on his bike riding to one to three flea markets to check out if there are some precious little vinyl diamonds. This man could be @cover-1, one of the most diligent diggers and DJs in the city. Over the years he made a name for himself for playing soulful Disco und House music that you should know but won’t even heard of before. When he is on holidays he tends to go to countries in which those unsung musical heroes were or are located. For instance, the islands of the West Indies to whose varied Soca, Disco and Funk scene he established a longtime love affair. At least, you can hear that in every note in his mix for UV Funk. UV Funk is a radio show which is broadcasted every third Friday from 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm on Dresden based community radio station coloRadio. Radio listeners in Dresden can tune in to the program on 98,3 or 99,4 MHz. Any other listeners can recall it here. The show is hosted by @philipp-demankowski. It’s all about stories, interviews and tracks out of the world of Cosmic Electronic Music.
