We welcome Ket Robinson for our 16th episode of the Materiacast series.

The French-born, now Berlin-based artist has been active on the European techno scene for about a decade now, as a dj, producer and label owner through his own KR Records.

His universe can be defined by strong percussion, rhythmic drums, dynamic melodies and captivating synthesizers. Influenced by industrial sounds and mental techno, he has created abyssal and mechanical productions that he expresses through a strong impulsive Techno which resonates in the depths of soul.

We're delighted to share this set with you, as the first step in a collaboration with him, as he produced “Jaded”, which will be released on our forthcoming VA.

Kapapreta, originally from Amadora, Lisbon, has been a dynamic presence in the techno scene since 2009. Now based in Tilburg, Netherlands, Kapa's sound blends the rhythmic pulse of hardgroove with groovy, hypnotic elements. Influenced by the legendary Jeff Mills and Portugal’s own VIL, Kapa’s sets resonate with an authentic passion for techno. His journey gained momentum in early 2023 through engaging live streams and videos on Instagram, bringing his talent to audiences worldwide. With performances at iconic Portuguese venues like Nav Lisbon, 168Stereogun Leiria, Collect Radio, and MusicBox Lisbon, Kapa Preta continues to shape his unique mark on the techno landscape.
