As we stroll  into the summer, we're happy to provide you with a fresh splash by Avant Garbage. The London-based duo k means and DJ ojo got entangled over their love for peculiar sounds and offers you a monthly refill on Netil Radio , with the stranger margins of music, deftly balancing feelings of brightness and darkness.

This two-hour (!) mix channels their love for disorientating dub and crunchy rhythms, combining old favourites and new digs ~ all infused with the softness of a psychedelic teabag. Rejuvenate and replenish with this one!

New addition in the mix series comes from Phase Group label head, Thomas.  This mix pulls from the post-punk, wave and industrial side of his tastes and features artists like Blak Saagan, Datblygu, Body Without Organs, Pre Fix, Kulku and SM Nurse as well as some forthcoming material that will be coming out soon on Phase Group.

Tokom razgovora sa Marijanom dolazim do saznanja da smo sugradjani, rodom iz istog, malog mesta na severu Srbije, i da smo sticali prva muzička iskustva undergrounda baš u periodu kada je domaća scena počela da se gradi na stubovima uticaja pograničnih država stare Jugoslavije, upravo sa severa. Prateći njen rad poslednjih meseci zaključujem da su njen sofisticirani muzički ukus i selekcija mikseva raznolika mešavina žanrova širokog spektra ali uvek unikatna. Ubrzo postaje jedan od mojih omiljenih DJ-va i posebna mi je čast imati dragulj poput nje na svome kanalu.
Marijana je trenutno bazirana u Kelnu u Nemačkoj, rezident je Salon des Amateurs i Acephale, lepša polovina The Croon dvojca i host radio emisije Deflections na Retreat Radiju.
Marijana nam šalje miks širokog spektra žanrova, od EBM-a, preko leftfielda i etno zvuka do zaboravljenih dijamanata dance floora, zbog čega postaje moj trenutni favorit.

During a conversation with Marijana I found out that we are fellow citizens, born in the same small town in the north of Serbia, and that we have acquired our first underground musical experiences in the period when the domestic scene was starting to build itself on the pillars of influence coming from the neighboring countries of old Yugoslavia, precisely from the north. Following her work in the past few months I came to a conclusion that her sophisticated taste in music and mix selection are a diverse mixture of wide spectrum of genres, but always unique. She has quickly become one of my favorite DJs and it is a great honor to have a jewel such as her on my channel. 
Marijana is currently based in Cologne, Germany, she is a resident of Salon des Amateurs and Acephale, better half of The Croon duo and host of the radio show Deflections on Retreat Radio.
Marijana sends us a mix of a wide spectrum of genres, from EBM, through leftfield and ethno sound to the forgotten diamonds of dance floor, which makes it my current favorite.

Marijana Croon - Dubine Podcast #038

As if it were a migratory journey, we move away voluntarily or forced, unfortunately some, from a cold and normally noisy city full of hectic lives and people with a thirst for power. A walk towards nature/forest where human voices cease to exist to transform into animal sounds causing a feeling of refuge and closeness. We leave behind a world of concrete and welcome the sounds of mother earth.

Milan native Matteo, a clearly devotee of nature, investigates sound with high enthusiansm and dedication. He wonderfully creates a mellow amalgam of layers using over-reverberated synths, field recordings, and self-created samples. Atoloi is constantly searching for another dephts in which the listener can get lost while getting submerged by heavy-grained noises and evocative instrumental compositions.

Matteo has left us the following text: “I tried to represent this slow march in a real and, at the same time, emotional forest, in which memories and the outer cosmos merge into a unique and cathartic experience.

A pleasant stroll through the forests of Ego. “A universe born from the perfect union between the external environment and the inmost emotional unconscious”.

forms of minutiae presents 'live at kwia’, a fragment of a recorded electroacoustic performance by field recordist and artist @pablodiserens

Amid winter, on one of the last nights of 2021, a group of people gather in the welcoming womb of a listening bar. Bordered by tiled walls and embraced by a simulated fog, cradled listeners soon forgo outer fluctuations. From a distance, dogs’ barks and bats’ calls reverberate into the space, Pablo Diserens’ concert has begun. What unfolds next is a weaving of biophonic field recordings with hums of blown and stroke glass bottles. The emerging electroacoustic ecoscape oscillates between animal stridulations and Helmholtz resonances. Wavering wind pulses and mirroring clangs intertwine with ultrasonic drones bringing the audience into oneiric realms. Ants, grasshoppers, and crickets infuse the room with vespertine warmth. Windows ooze with condensation. Winter seems far, as if morphed into a balmy summer night. A new landscape materializes, birthed by the set of frequencies at play. Buccal air gently throbs in and out of the glass vessels in glistening gestures. Pablo blows into their empty bottles one last time before handing the stage to a sizzling underwater mixture of rain drops and insectean accents. 

The recorded fragment stops here, yet, that night, the formed sonic window into this temporary landscape pursued its course. The auditory encounters that followed now only exist in the hazy memories of wintertide listeners.

After a summer break and a few
 events launched in Bordeaux and Lisbon, @scenecityeu makes its return on Mutant. The concept is still the same for the platform: to showcase the local musical landscape of a few cities through the lens of local artists. This new episode is dedicated to the
 Vilnius scene. 
Together with its partner @palanga_street_radio,
 Scene city invited @quaintas who has been active in the local scene for over eight years. Currently he is a resident show host at @palanga_street_radio with his monthly show ENTR'ACTE and duo project COOL AIR. He is also a collective member of @minimal-lt
 who have run the electronic music night Minimal Mondays since 2006. In this mix, Quaint pieces together a personal perspective of the Vilnius electronic music scene, pacing through the best of its more experimental and melancholic side.

Stalker invites Pigeon Steve. For this episode of Cold Expressions Stalker invites Pigeon Steve, whilst holding down the first hour himself.

Pigeon Steve is a Resident of long running Glasgow party, Partial, and has recently started Doocut, a new residency at Nice n Sleazy's.

DJ'ing aside, Pigeon Steve runs the Scottish archival record label, Seated Records, who's second release is due out February 23rd.

The mix is a dubbed-out trippy affair, starting slow and building it’s way up to incorperate some wave and new beat styles.
