"My friends at disco knights were kind enough to let me play at their fundraiser. I support what they do, especially at Burning Man, so i was stoked to be able to play for them.

My personal title to this mix is: "No Pictures Cuz She Didn't Take Any <insert sad face> @ Disco Knights Jun-22"

The opening track (by Pharoah Sanders) I heard for the first time when DJ Kemit played it on his Saturday morning Twitch stream. In fact, almost every Saturday started with this song. Definitely check his Twitch stream out. The rest of the mix I unintentionally played for her. She didn't know at the time. But I told her later. <3

The dance music portion of the mix is heavily influenced by some of my favorite artists in the business, in particular, Kai Alce and Louie Vega. I am constantly learning a lot. And I love it all the time. And I hope it shows."

Zawsze fascynowała mnie formuła ostinato , takich jak  Bolero Ravela  czy Bittersweet Symphony - the Verve. Ostinato  jest jak chemia organiczna - z trzech podstawowych atomów tlenu, wodoru i węgla można zbudować cały ożywiony świat.  Stąd pomysł na pracę nad takim utworem w ramach nauki Ableton Live.  Skąd taka aranżacja? Niedawno przypomniałem sobie o jednym z moich ulubionych utworów sprzed lat - „Vienna” zespołu Ultravox,   który pokazuje, że w muzyce nie ma podziałów. Zapraszam.

Since the 1990s, Phat Phil Cooper has been on a journey through DJ culture and electronic music with more twists and turns than your average million-selling novel. Through his work as a DJ, label manager, curator, record shop owner, event organizer and music consultant, Cooper has remained a central figure in a story that has yet to reach a conclusion.

Musically, Cooper has long been celebrated for his diverse approach to music. While naturally at home championing the seductive, sun-kissed sounds released on the NuNorthern Soul label he founded in 2012 – either in humid outdoor venues around the Globe or via his popular weekly radio shows and regular sessions on Mixcloud – Cooper’s roots can be traced back to the dancefloors of legendary Liverpool club Cream, where during the 1990s and early 2000s he was a key resident DJ.
