Since Tom’s debut release on Sudup Recordings in 2009, he has had a string of deep house tracks and remixes on Lost My Dog Records, UM Records, Savoir Faire Musique, 3am Recordings, DeepWit Recordings, and 5 & Dime Recordings. He’s collaborated with highly respected, prolific producer Harold Heath on 3 EP’s and is now working on his Lucky Sun side project, a left field / down tempo esque vibe that saw a full album released in the Summer of 2015! Since then, he has continued show his class on many labels creating some finest beats around.

This week on the Sounds Collective I am so happy to welcome BDTom as my guest not only a quality music Producer but an excellent dj as well He is dedicated music collector, producer, re-mixer, vinyl collector. In his collection you can find everything from the '70s Jazz and Funk to even the steepest Deep House hits. After the early techno scene, he voted in favor of the developing Progressive House. His true love however, is Deep House and everything related to it. Soulful, Detroit, Chicago, Tech. His works are highly inspired by old favourites such as Atjazz, Terry Lee Brown Jr., Ian Pooley, The Timewriter, Sven Vath, Fred Everything and many more! 
Nowadays he is developing his own Deep n Dub style of music that is constantly growing and evolving.

Since the 1990s, Phat Phil Cooper has been on a journey through DJ culture and electronic music with more twists and turns than your average million-selling novel. Through his work as a DJ, label manager, curator, record shop owner, event organizer and music consultant, Cooper has remained a central figure in a story that has yet to reach a conclusion.

Musically, Cooper has long been celebrated for his diverse approach to music. While naturally at home championing the seductive, sun-kissed sounds released on the NuNorthern Soul label he founded in 2012 – either in humid outdoor venues around the Globe or via his popular weekly radio shows and regular sessions on Mixcloud – Cooper’s roots can be traced back to the dancefloors of legendary Liverpool club Cream, where during the 1990s and early 2000s he was a key resident DJ. 

Three decades on, Cooper’s club-moving skills remain as sharp as ever, despite his reputation as a storied, laidback and open-minded downtempo selector.
