Caesura Records begins their journey through the minimal flavours of functional, colorful house music, with an emphasis on rich melody patterns, natural grooves and catchy basslines.

Dutch artist Jos Lok delivers a nostalgic, rhythmic four-track EP with warm chords, playful melodies, glitched out percussion and trippy vocals. The A side starts with Walco, a highly swung bassline-driven heater, moving into ThenWhen, a beautifully arranged house track with an intensely satisfying build up.

The B side begins with This Cap, unfurling a bassline that makes liberal use of sub-bass and negative space. Waterdruppels closes out the EP, with a playful earworm melody and a positive vibe unique to Jos Lok’s music. All four tracks are club ready, appropriate for any hour of a party.

Jos Lok is a DJ and producer residing in the beautiful city of Groningen, the Netherlands. Jos has been obsessed with rhythmical sounds from a young age. He naturally started moving his feet or nodding his head when hearing even a hint of groove. Not only catchy percussion caught his attention, deep emotional chords and melodies were also very welcome. As a result of his encompassing love for music, Jos started playing the drums when he was nine years old. After a few years of going through the metal music repertoire and playing in a band he acquired a new taste in music. His focus was redirected to Techno music back when he first entered the club and festival scene. Evidently, he started producing his own Techno and House. A stripped down beat, groovy bass and just the right chords or another melodic component is the perfect formula for inspiration for Jos. 
Nowadays, Jos Lok manages to make a wonderful blend of minimalistic sounds and House music. His style can be distinctly categorised by its aim for innovation. His tracks can be described as a colourful story that progresses into a strong groove. His music has been released on labels such as Archipel, Daydream, Perceive, CEASURA and Vivus Records. Jos Lok receives support from artist like Pheek, Christhoper Ledger, David Gtronic, Herck, Silat Beksi and Noah Skelton.
