This is the Gyre.

Leia steps out of the violet tear of time and straight into the Ice Age. Night air bites; her breath ghosts as aurora ribbons glide above a frozen river. Her pocket watch floats beside her, ticking backward, casting warm gold on drifting ice crystals. In the blue-white distance, woolly mammoths trudge through snow while a saber-toothed cat watches from a ridge and dire wolves echo across the plain. Leia tightens her ivory, fur-lined coat over her green layers and moves careful through a world ruled by cold and giants.
