In the fifteenth episode of the Sonogramma Podcast from the @ssi-records label, the curator of the podcast, Ilia @symphocat, presents to the listener a showcase of musicians representing the Atmospheric Scene of the Sun Spirit Festival, which has been taking place for 5 years on the Crimea peninsula.

The venue of the Sun Spirit festival is located in a picturesque place of the Cherkez-Kermen gorge on the territory of the ancient cave city of Eski-Kermen. The festival includes many spiritual practices that encourage self-development and a conscious lifestyle. The festival team gathers a wide range of musicians and art initiations on several stages. This episode of the Sonogramma podcast presents musicians of ambient genres performing on the Atmospheric Stage, curating of which has been supervised by Ilia Symphocat for several years.

While listening to the mix, you will hear field recordings collected at the venue of the Sun Spirit festival, as well as other special places on the Crimea peninsula. Bio:
Adam is of Polish origin, co-founder & co-owner of the Digital Diamonds label and producing under his alter egos Adamson and Alic. After spending some years in Southern Spain, he started his side-project Adam Andaluz: Groovy Spacemusic, surfing on the crossboarders between Easy Listening, Trap, Synthwave, Electro Cumbia and Leftfield.

About the set:
After moving from Berlin to Chemnitz at the beginning of 2022, Adam mined for fresh inspirations and sounds, ranging from slowbeats, jazzy and dubby tunes… This set is dedicated to Adams’ new habitat, as in 2025 it  will be the European Capital of Culture, standing for diversity and togetherness.

Bio:

Ambionic (Joe Woodruff) has been an avid collector of all types of music since the early 90's and began mixing electronic music around 12 years ago. Initially influenced by Trance, Psy Trance, House and Techno, he now pursues the deeper and more downtempo sounds of Dub and Ambient.

About the mix:

This mix was inspired by both planet earth and outer space, it also alludes to Felix Baumgartner's parachute jump from the stratosphere which I feel perfectly bridges both these worlds. With Ambient music I prefer deep, melodic, cinematic, emotive and uplifting tracks so you will hopefully find this mix encompasses those sounds!

Last night I had a dream about mars. And since I am the moon just by being a female spirit and mars is in conjunction with the moon just today I felt it was needed to release the shadow that I dragged out from my soul on hunters full moon in october. It´s been hunting me evre since trying to get a grip again but that shall not happen.

With this I ask all shadows, bad omens, dark spells, impure deeds, bad intentions and entities to leave my realms.
