Originally not meant to be more than a tiny remake, I grew so into the workflow that I suddenly had a finished remix :P As for the original I kept it experimental. Harmonically aswell as the sounds, and fairly, I like the result! I hope you do too :)

I used Euphorizer's kick from my collab with him, so credit for that great one to him. I just felt like this kick gives this track a whole different character than my kicks do so I decided to use it in this not very serious remix for the sake of the track, I hope you can forgive me ;P

I had 0 intentions to make money from that little edit nor claim that the song was mine, but well, can't change it now. 
Now since I still like the work on the edit that I did, I thought I may actually start removing each part of the original bit by bit and turn it into a complete own remix. Here is one part that isn't in the original as such!

Hey guys, I've been on radio silence for a long while again, and I just want to let you know what happened, and why I'm not gone yet. First things first.
This is a Project I started 2 years ago, when Memorize was going to release a bunch of remixes of his tracks, and I never pulled through finishing it, keep on reading on more detail what's going on with this track. 

Now what happened in that time? What happened to Phenix?

I left my busy job as a craftsman, and instead pursued my dream of working in an Audio field, and became live Sound engineer/event tech, I started my own company doing small events with my own gear, and built a studio together with my dad, recording bands and mixing them. Basically, since then, I'm working as event tech for a company, and as event tech/ sound engineer in my free time, which I love doing, but it basically leaves me without any spare time. I will continue to be somewhat busy with this for some time to come, but I already have plans to create more spare time for the things I love doing: Recording, Mixing, Producing and doing live gig mixing for my own company, so once I'll sort things out, I can't wait to come back with full power ;)

I learned a huge lot from working in live audio, learning about acoustics, the physics behind speakers and microphones and so much more, and I'm really just getting started yet. This gave me a big boost of motivation to start working on some music my own again, but then a small, big disaster happend. 
While backing up my hard drive with a lot of music I worked on recently, there went something wrong and a lot of stuff was lost, my installation of FL got screwed up and whatnot, which put me out of business of producing for a good while again now.

But I also told myself that this setback, will at some point be the event that gave me a fresh new start. And while I'm working on getting everything back to work again, and start creating stuff better than ever before, I thought I'd see what stuff survived that little personal hard drive apocalypse. 

I figured, that for most of the stuff I worked on, but never released, the project files are gone, or the plugin installations and such have changed so much that they basically have become unusable. 

So I thought, in order to move on, I want to at least throw out some of that unfinished stuff, it would be too much of a pity to let all that hard work just rot on some hard drive.

So here we go, the first, completely unfinished thing I salvaged, there's gonna be mix/equing issues, vastly empty parts and such, but there's also some nice things already there. 

Maybe I'll revisit some of those lost projects and revive them, but for now, i think I'll focus on making a fresh new start, and start kicking stronger than ever before.

Memorize & MickeyG - Osprey (Never-finished Phenix Remix)

..including assigning and sorting tracks to the mixer.
I sure hear some things to fix, but it was a 30 minute challenge to improve my fast mixing skills for live mixing (soundchecks often are pretty messy with less professional bands, so you gotta be quick). 
What do you guys think?
I'd probably put the vocals through an exciter and a vintage tube compressor sim for some extra brilliance and punch through the mix, definitely clean up some low end on the instruments and make sure the percussion comes through better than now, both depth and stereo graduation can also use some more work, as the instruments are pretty packed still, but that's a good lot more work than 30 mins ;)

I do still have a few like those, if you guys are interest in hearing more never finished stuff, tell me, I'll throw some more stuff here :) 

Regarding new music: I'm still going to need some more time to be back at producing, I currently work 6-7 days a week as live sound engineer, which barely leaves me any room to breathe, and I'll need some a bit of practicing again to get my producing skills back to where they used to be :>

Baby steps again now, it's been a while since I did any electronic music, I mostly did live mixing in the meantime, which is quite a different thing. Really glad to finally cook up some fun melodies and stuff, although I gotta start from zero again since I lost all my presets that I made over the years - nice opportunity to invent a new sound for me.

I fixed my FL ..

I'm a 24 year old Producer coming from Austria. I first discovered Hardstyle in 2008 and started making music in March 2011. I always play around with the style a bit and try to gather my own, unique style. Also, I really enjoy creating songs that fall into all kinds of genres, but Hardstyle is and will stay my main love!  I hope you enjoy my work :)
