'Argentinian producer Ric Niels makes his debut on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records with his beautiful track 'Walking In The Woods'. The song is a mix of ethereal synths, groovy bassline and tasty drums. The glorious vocals of Hydrah add a sumptuous aura to the music.

First on remix duty, we found Dmitry Molosh. The Belarusian DJ and producer is famous for his inimitable progressive sound and excellent taste in music. Dmitry represents his country far beyond its borders as one of the most forward-thinking electronic music artists in the world. Here, he created a huge progressive piece filled with trancy melodies and one of the most epic drop we heard in a long time.

Also rising out of Argentina's electronic underground are the elusive duo Analog Jungs. Made up of Claudio Cornejo and Gustavo Ruarte, Analog Jungs was born out of a love for rhythm, groove and melody. The duo is back on the label after their successful release of 'Landscape' with Oliver & Tom last year.

To close out the package, there's an instrumental version of 'Walking In The Woods' for the DJs uneasy with vocals.

Hicky & Kalo say: 'Super happy to welcome Ric Niels on our label. We are fan of his music, we played many of his tracks over the last few years. Univack's label boss, Integral Bread @integralbread , returns to the label this time in colaboration with the misterious artist Orijen @orijenmusic , and the experienced dj and producer Lorena Moreno @lorena-moreno , making the single 'Lunar Eclipse', a Progressive House / Techno piece that shows the peculiar style of these artists, music with a lot of melodic and percussive elements, that make a sci-fy journey that can be danced in equal parts between body and mind.

The release is completed with a stunning remix by the well-known german producer Rauschhaus @rauschhaus , who manages to create a diferent version with several elements from the original track selected and processed perfectly, showing a less dark and a bit more emothional face than he usually uses.

Two fresh interpretations for Kamilo Sanclemente's trademark single 'Dew' which was released last year.

Industry veterans Weekend Heroes are on fire lately with a continuous output of very big releases. They've just topped the Beatport progressive house chart with their single 'Upside Down' whilst their other singles 'Lucid', 'Brightlight' and 'Dragonfly' and 'Off Limit' also moved quite a few crowds to say the least. They deliver a proper peak time melodic progressive house rework here, top shelve stuff!

On the flipside we welcome on board Ceci for his Manual Music debut. The Italian producer provides a nice contrast to the ruggedness of the other remix, going for a more laid back approach. Lovely organic instruments and flowing airy soundscapes make this a true dreamer.

Two strong remixes that certainly do Kamilo's original justice.

PREMIERE: Rauschhaus - Kaiju (Hicky & Kalo Remix) [Mango Alley]

Opening the summer season in style, Phenomena welcomes Elias Erium back to the label for a new EP. With the March release of ‘Harvester’, the Canadian artist returned in resounding fashion. Picking up on the themes and sounds which established the label, the two-track showcase was a prime example of the Montreal resident’s creative attitude, winning over tastemaker duo Mind Against and ultimately setting the course for the May release of ‘The Grove’. With projects for long-standing ethereal imprint Steyoyoke and Eleatics subsidiary Aletheia Recordings already in the books for 2022, Elias now returns to his comfortable home of ‘Phenomena’ with a two-track showcase entitled ‘Sleepwalking’.

Beginning the title selection, Elias explores haunted minimalism and disparate motifs over militant beats and machine gun rhythms. A commanding dance floor presence is furthered by alien-like bleeps and panoramic arps, while percussive rides and flurries of effects transfer energy into the main break. Building tension across the near two-minute centrepiece, a dystopian style ecstasy is evoked, as emerging modulation and esoteric chord changes collapse under their own gravity, giving way to horn-like drones for a prophetic finale.

The companion piece ‘Taking You Back’ rounds out the release with a confident club energy. Elias’ penchant for dance floor dynamics is revealed through dark rebounding rhythms, phasing noise and quirky electronics, all cleverly programmed over a funked up, hip swinging groove. Snatches of ghostly vocals highlight the main break, bringing icy refrains and elastic-like arps along for the ride, eventually revealing a colourful vortex and commanding groove-centric conclusion. With the ‘Sleepwalking’ EP Elias carefully balances a timeless techno inspired mentality with futuristic technical vision, resulting in a two-track showcase that arrives just in time for the summer festival season.

Elias Erium - Taking You Back (Original Mix)

Commander in chief Jonas Saalbach returns to the mothership with an elaborate 3-tracker named ‘Sudden Disclosure’. His latest work marks another milestone at the forefront of peak present day Melodic House productions which Radikon became a household watermark for.

The title track instantly sets the bar for the journey to come. Screaming leads underpinned by rousing snare rolls will attract ravers to dancefloors like moths to flames. Right here materializes an absolute peak time gem.

Listening to ‘Rouge’ feels like walking a dark path into the unknown. Every part of the way awaits with new surprises, lead by a strict regiment of kick and bass. This one is for the concrete cave holes in urban jungle territory.

‘Beginnings And Transitions’ completes the ride of ‘Sudden Disclosure’ as the melody infused light at the end of the tunnel, providing guidance out of the dark with driving hats paired with hopeful melancholy.

ODTD039 sees the Oddity return of Casper Cole following his debut last December on Odd Echoes Vol.5 with 'Fortuna'. Now is the right time to delve deeper into his talents, calling on outstanding support from vocalist Ed Begley and Fur Coat for the remix. Emotion fuelled title track 'Matter Of Time' has all the attributes to storm the melodic techno charts. Featuring a stunning vocal from Ed Begley and a brilliant arrangement from Casper, who allows Ed's voice to shine while embellishing and layering analogue elements to complement his tones - heightening the sense of drama and tugging at the heart strings. Expect this to feature heavily in key DJ playlists. After signing the original Oddity label boss Sergio Munoz knew a Fur Coat Remix was needed to fully unleash the clubbing potential for this great track. Sergio amplifies all the important elements, while cranking up the energy and intensity. Deep pulsating stabs and punchy beats are underpinned by beautiful warm synths and subtle effects on Ed's vocal to create a truly compelling clubbing moment. The breakdown is a lesson in composition, taking 'Matter Of Time' up to a whole new level as the driving beats then re-enter and raise the roof. Closing track 'Overground' gives a wider insight into Casper as a producer, as he delivers a dark intense dance-floor cut with echoed arp lines, throbbing bass and rolling percussion. The break allows a brief release of tension, before drawing you back into the cavernous sounds. Perfect for an extended DJ set in a hot dark club.
