Brittany aka flura blew the crowd away at the recent Sauce Traxx rave just before lockdown. Her set of fast, ravey, irresistibly fun garage belters made for a memorable night and listening to this mix is like reliving it! Britt is also part of Resonance, a femme-fronted dance music collective based in Naarm/Melbourne with a focus on inclusion, playfulness, and unbridled expression. PHENOMENA is a record label based in both Naarm/Melbourne and London. Our debut release celebrates rising stars in the local Naarm scene such as SLAMROSS 1000 and RBI as well as launching first releases for up and coming artists Izzy Locke, Zara and GEX. 

This compilation delivers ten unconventional club tracks by Australian and international artists, curated and refined to illustrate our unique perspective of contemporary dance music. We search for those who share an appetite for original and uncharted sounds, and those who foster the greater music community. 

The compilation is a fundraiser for charity, with all profit from bandcamp going to Black Rainbow.

Unrestricted Purpose is a Naarm based collective comprising of Harry, Michael, and Jeremy. Over the last 18 months, they've been busy, running a mix and party series, radio show, and launching a label that will release its first EP later in the year. When playing together, they revel in their affinity for the UK sound. Spanning from garij, to breaks, dubstep, garij, grime, speed garij, garij, funky, and even garij. Here they take a more progressive, but still tasteful approach to the collective’s sound. Trancy UKG and breaks, spliced with brainy dubstep, tasteful psy, and everything in between. One for the heads.

The Girl Under The Sun

Brain Dance is the debut EP from Sydney artist and Velodrome’s resident dancefloor darling, Posture.

A bold and refined body of work, Brain Dance is a masterclass in brooding high-energy techno. Blending sombre tonal palettes with intricate driving percussion, Posture has crafted a suite of 4 peak-set techno cuts that retain a delicate, fluid energy throughout.

Written in isolation, Brain Dance is pensive in its mood while remaining wholly inspired by dance floor energies from past and future - a record that invites introspection in the peak of dance floor hypnosis.
