Each of the nine tracks is a chapter in a novella, unveiling the dramatic tale of a lone figure standing at the crossroads between reality and a digital dream. Step by step, he descends into the darkness of the unknown, uncovering new layers of existence, where the boundaries between man and machine dissolve into a haunting harmony. Melodies and rhythms trace labyrinths of consciousness, where electric pulses have replaced heartbeats, and memories have become neon glows on the walls of deserted alleyways.

This is a descent into the depths of a cyberpunk universe, where every sound becomes a fragment of a larger enigma—one that can only be solved by those willing to lose themselves in order to find their true essence.

Intruders marks a high-octane escalation in Korax’s new EP, surging forward with a volatile blend of warped basslines and kinetic drumwork. The energy is immediate and unrelenting. Warbled low-end modulations twist and ripple like sonic interference from another dimension, while the driving rhythm section hammers with surgical precision. There’s a chaotic elegance to the arrangement, as if the track is constantly mutating, always on the edge of collapse but held together by sheer force of momentum.

Where Lunar Cult lingers in shadow, Intruders kicks the door down. The sound design is jagged and alien, filled with textures that feel alive; buzzing, writhing, and ready to consume. Fleeting glitches and reverb-soaked stabs dart through the mix, giving the impression of a hostile force breaching a secure perimeter. It’s a track built for peak-time detonation, engineered to take control of the floor and refuse to let go. Korax proves once again that chaos, when wielded with precision, can be a powerful weapon.

Standing atop a cliffside and astride a confluence of two major rivers, the castle, which had once stood as a bastion to protect the kingdom’s heartlands, had now fallen into ruin & disrepair. Stones crumbled and tumbled from its parapets, gathering in the piles of rubble that now lay strewn about the courtyard. No human had set foot inside the place in decades, not since the failed rebellion of the castle’s last lord. Long besieged by the loyalist forces of the king, the disgraced lord had turned to dark magics to fend off the final assault, sacrificing the lives of seven of his knights for unnatural aid. Though he repulsed the assault, he too had now long since perished, consumed by the great beast that now slithered through the keep in his stead.

Thus it was that the once splendorous castle had come to be avoided by all in the kingdom. Traders refused to travel the waters beneath its gaze, for fear of tales of travelers snatched by the horror that lurked within the castle walls. Nearby villages had been abandoned by the peasantry, leaving once fertile farmland fallow and threatening to throw the kingdom’s population into famine. Now, the king stood before the castle once more, flanked by his retinue of most skilled & noble knights and a levy of some one thousand soldiers, many of whom were peasants seeking to reclaim their lost homes. Yet even for all the strength of the force he had assembled, the king wondered quietly if their might would be enough - such was the fearsome & savage prowess of the HYDRA that now called the castle home.

INSTINKT makes their EATBRAIN debut with HYDRA, rallying the label’s horde under their banner as they tell the fearsome sonic tale of the seven-headed monster across the EP’s four tracks.
