In memory of Chester Bennington (March 20, 1976 – July 20, 2017)

I remixed my favorite song of all time to pay tribute to my favorite band of all time, and honor one of my heroes lead singer @chesterbe who tragically lost his life to suicide 4 years ago.

When I read the news of his passing on 7.20.2017 I collapsed to the floor and burst into tears and cried for what felt like forever. I’ve been a die hard fan of @linkinpark since I purchased their debut album #HybridTheory in October of 2000. 

I saw them in concert for the first time at @930club in DC with @taprootmusic and @alienantfarmofficial on 2.22.2001 and knew from that moment that they were going to eventually become one of the biggest bands on the planet. 

Later in 2001 I became one of less than 1000 Street Soldiers when I was selected to be part of Linkin Park Street Team #LPST.

I haven’t taken the time to go back and count the number of times I saw them live in concert or the number of meet and greets I attended, but I never did miss a show when LP came to DMV. 

In The End is a timeless anthem with over one billion total streams that has solidified it as one of the most successful music singles ever.

It’s always hard to remix your heroes but I did my best to apply my own favor to create a version that stays true to the original.

About the track: 
When you listen closely to my official Lexicon Remix, you might be able to tell that it was produced on a day in which I listened to both albums "Eric Prydz - Opus" and "Nero - Between II Worlds." Both are artists I really admire as artists who have always inspired my work. 

Overall I feel like my remix stays true to the original by incorporating the elegant synths and bass tones that my friends in Aurean did such an amazing job creating. I pumped up the energy and grit a bit to work within my own sets, which are pretty high energy. My favorite part is the lead solo during the second breakdown. The lead solo is something I have made a staple in my more melodic productions over the past few years including: Showstoppers, UMadBro, Never Let Me Go (Remix), Dreams (Remix) and Right Next To You (Remix). I feel like the solos add a bit of soul that many EDM songs are missing these days. Hope you enjoy!
