Some get away from it permanently disillusioned by daily news and the voting machine. They find a magical land under a stadium of glittering stars. This song is about a man from Montauk who finds peace where silver waters fall on shades of green. Enjoy the "Company man".

We are born and live in a concrete world that surrounds us not realising the impact on the environment around us. We are trapped in an ever decreasing cycle of climate change and we don't see that "the grass doesn't grow here anymore". The conflict of happiness that modernism brings contrasts to the erosion and effect it is creating on the planet as a whole. It seems that there is so little space and yet so much time but we can't even hear a single word.

This is an insight into an old timers experience as he sits alone in a bar in Texas. He recognisnes that with age he feels more and more distant from the man he once was. He is becoming more forgetful saying that he feels "one thousand miles from Texas with snow falling in my mind".  He would also like to see "the sunrise on a Texas Sunday morning", the way he remembered it from so many years ago.

One Thousand Miles From Texas

This song could be interpreted as an old fashoined love song or something much deeper and profound. This song is about an old musician reminiscing about his past. All those opportunities he had. But for circumstances he may have made it. However, he acknowledges that someone has always been there for him throughout his life that helped wash away the footprints (negative memories and thoughts), the footprints in the sand. The "someone" could be a higher spirit, group consciousness or a partner. I will leave it to your own interpretation.

This song is about the experience of a young confederate soldier thinking that he might be writing his last letter home before moving on to the front line at Gettysburg. He hopes to return home soon but then finds he is moving on again to the higher realm. He becomes a ghost of Gettysburg. It is important to remember that in all battles and wars that there are invariably two sides, both having someone's sons and daughters.

Many of us live in a world where we depend on a silicon lifestyle while atomic thermo missiles "protect" us from potential enemies. We have become used to seeing the sun shine but at the same time, we have our noses pressed further in the dirt and there are those who dream of life without hunger and thirst. Many of those who are leaders say "It can't hurt". This song reflects the sentiments of the above comments. Food for thought....

This track follows the theme of this new album about a young mans experience of growing up in the mid 19th century in Ireland, seeing his brother leave home to find a new life in America. When they were young lads, he and his three brothers played at being nights of the round table. Each brother was given a name; the oldest Galahad. Hence the title of the track.
