Recorded on cassette in 1980. A bug in my Z80 code created a wild ring mod type sound. I could never reproduce this sound. Home brew analog synth added on top.  C08/T06

Ring Mod Bug

In 1982 Larry Polansky was doing preliminary tests of HMSL (it might have been called Bird at that time) He created the recursive patch that listened to itself and then used that information to generate all the parameters for the next cycle of sound. Very recursive, very James Tenney ... The synthesis was a patch that I created on my Serge modular and HMSL was spewing control voltages which were being listened to by a Gentle Electric pitch and envelope follower into the 2 Ad inputs on the HMSL prototyping S-100 based forth machine that Larry was coding on.
