Bit of a 'pinch yourself' moment for me this... Playing at the legendary Stonebridge Bar for '15 Years Of The Social', 5-6pm on the Thursday of Glastonbury - my favourite place in the world. A better crowd, vibe and bunch of people you could not meet I assure you. I was nevertheless sh*tting myself for this one - but what a feeling in the end! Couple of clangers, but it's about the journey, yada yada yada. And I was rather merry.

The Phillout Sessions V selected and mixed by Phil:D, May 2006

This mix is the fifth in a series that chronicled my self-taught journey into DJing. the Original Phillout Sessions album was created as a blend of tunes that, whatever the genre, chilled me out, perfectly timed for my first trip to Amsterdam.

I have been fascinated by beat-matching and melding tunes to create moods and journeys, from all musical styles ever since.

This mix secured me a residency at the British Film Institute on the South Bank where I have been lucky enough to support the likes of Hextatic, Unkle & DJ Yoda, and was sent in anonymously a week before beginning my work experience at Mixmag, for whom I am still a regular contributing journalist and opportunist party jock. 

It still does it for me. Hope you enjoy it.
